Translated Project Folder
Version: 1.0.0 Category: Patches Description: Translated project folder for RPG Maker VX. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- RPG Maker VX Translated Project 1. Included Files 2. Release Notes 3. Update Information 4. Install Instructions 5. Troubleshooting 6. Translated By ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Files Included In The RAR: Project Folder (Contains 14 Folders and 19 Files) README.TXT ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Release Notes: This is a re-release of my previous project folder translation. The translation been redone using the defualt one from the full version of RPG Maker VX. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: 1/21/2008 - Translation redone using a blank project from the full version of RPG Maker VX. 12/23/2007 - Translation mistakes fixed. - Script data translated. 12/21/2007 - Inital translation release. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Install Instructions: Using With The Full Version: 1. Make sure you dont already have a folder in "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\RPGVX" called "Project1". If you do rename it to "Project2" so it doesint get replaced by the "Project1" folder in this rar. 2. Extract .rar file to "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\RPGVX". 3. Open RPG Maker VX and select "Open Project". 4. Select "Project 1" Using With The Trial: 1. Click "Create New Project" in RPG Maker VX, make sure to remember the project number. 2. Once done locate the project folder which by default is in "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\RPGVX". 3. Extract the "Project.rar" file into the project folder. 4. Delete every file in the current project folder (The one I asked you to remember) and copy all the files from "Project.rar" into the current project folder. 5. So if I created a new project and it was "Project1" I would go to the project folder and delete every file in "Project1". Then I would replace the files inside with the ones from "Project1.rar". 6. To confirm that it worked select "Test Play", if you see an english menu then it worked! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Troubleshooting: General: Q: How can I add the translated data to my current project? I dont want to lose my work! A: Copy all the files in the "data" folder except for "MapInfos.rvdata" and "Map001.rvdata" into your "data" folder located in your project folder. Using With The Trial: Q: How come everything still shows up in Japanese in RPG Maker VX but when I test play its in english? A: Because the scripts are preloaded when you create a new project they wont change in RPG Maker VX. A refresh command might fix it but I dont know RGSS so I cant test this. If you know RGSS or know someone who does ask them about this and let me know the results. A workaround is to use the RMVX Loader or Enable Load program by Hyperlisk, the RMVX Loader can be download from the download database on RPGCrisis.net. Q: How come some Characters, Items, Weapons, Armor, Enemies, Skills, and Animations have a blank picture? A: The project folder was created from the full version of RPG Maker VX, the trial version of RPG Maker VX does not have all the defualt resources. Hello all,
Just letting you guys and girls know that I will be releasing an update to my translated project folder using the a default project from the full version of RMVX as the base. You will now have access to more characters, classes, items, skills, and enemies. The update will also fix all grammar and spelling problems present in the current version. As far as I saw, it isn't an "on the fly translating", cause the're many special japanese idioms and terms for weapons, armor and other stuff.

Håhåhå, the weapons and defence items were very easy, because they are almost the same as in rm2003.

That'll be great, I managed to borrow the data files from japanese users' project to expand the limit...pretty much every part now is 99 except the actor now limit is 12. But still it'll be great asset for the game making. Thanks for the work.
Note: after the strength is defense, not dexterity. |

Yes, it is supposed to be Attack, Defense, Intelligence, Agility. However, Enterbrain released the translation in RPGXP as Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Agility. It is likely they will do the same for the VX English release. We basically just tried to keep true to the last official English release in our unofficial releases for VX.

To Pistelel: I see. But it's very confusing because dexterity is basically how you can dodge the attacks and should be only attribute to shields.
To Moshroom: Thanks for the files! I used the actors, commonevents, and the system for attributes. Now everyting is just perfect. I have nothing against it. The breaths and other upper skills (down to White Wind) are for enemies, I think. I'm not 100% sure about the skills because all this stuff is ripped from some japanese projects, not from VX's original project folder. I also had to improvise with some translations because straight translation from japanese to english sounded stupid. But the weapons, defence items, states, animations and attributes are correct... Elemental Crisis is making a translation of the default project folder and it should be ready in a couple of days. I think we could check the skills from that. |
