Well, I'm tired of wrestling with all the blog sites out there, so I'm just gonna make this my home. So here we go.
Recently, I've acquired a scanner, and before that I've been trying to mimic the style of the RTP. This is the first time I've actually tried mimicking someone else's style, but I think I've don ea fairly decent job, so far. To start with, I drew my community character portrait, for which I've had the design for quite some time.
Thank goodness for Soruve's RTP tutorial. I would've been at a loss as to where to start. I had a bit of trouble with the thickness of the line art at first, but with a little help from Google and Photoshop, it was a simple remedy. I used the polygonal lasso tool a lot while coloring this, but I'm fairly satisfied with the result. I'm definitely gonna be working on more of these as time passes, and I'll post them up here on my blog.
As for a sprite... I posted a request for it in the Resource Requests forum, but I'm not expecting anything too fast. He looks like he'll be challenging to sprite (damn hair >_<)
Here's a line work of a character I'm currently working on, just as a bonus:
That's Rehlea, a recurring character in some of the projects I've been thinking up. Though she exists in typing all over my computer, this is the first time I've given her actual form. I actually plan on coloring her entire body, but the image would probably be too big to post, so I cropped it.
