Love this script. I just have a teeny problem. On one of my larger maps, I have really bad lag. Any idea why? Are my file sizes too big?

Hello there.

So i've got everything working, and I just realized (I don't know how I didn't see this before) but when I load my overlays, there's a slight delay, and if you come RIGHT ontop of where they're loading, it's a visible flash from "ground layer" to "holy shit where'd all this come from?!"

Is there any way to remove this slight delay? Kind of kills immersion I feel. I thought maybe adding a fade in/out or something might solve the issue, but I haven't tried that yet, as i've assumed maybe I was doing it wrong, so I thought i'd come here.

I basically have it setup so I enter a map, and there's an autorun script that turns the switches for that map on. Is there a more efficient way of doing this? Am I doing anything at all wrong? Yes this is upon game startup.
Second thought is... Is there any downside to turning on every switch for every map's overlays all at the start of the game? Will this cause lagg? Is it just generally a bad idea?
Just a curious thought. Thanks guys. Hope someone can answer both.

I don't quite understand. What does ground layer do? What about Parallax layer? If I make my map with Parallax mapping, what layer does that count as?

I had a quick question as far as the images go. Do I have to set the background to black or just leave it alone before making it into a .jpg?
Also I'm getting this error : Game opens up and for a quick second shows the map then this happens.

I just started to learn about this program and if anything beginner at script but I understand the numbers just not how to read it yet.
