Kayo's Sprite Shop

So I am a little new to spriting but I can Fankensprite and Recolor and what I like to call "Heavy Editing".
I just wanted to show what I can do and possibly get some Advice! And feel free to requests things if you would like.

Here is my main character named Leon, he can have different color linings depending on the armor he wears (If i could get the system to work)

And this other guy is a remake of Riou from Suikoden 2.This is an example of what I would call "Heavy Editing".

I'm willing to take up to three requests if anyone has any. Recolors or Frankenspriting is mainly what I excel in. On the RTP/Chibi characters or Mack.

Moved to Resource showcase for you.

My thoughts on the sprites: They look all right. The armored guy, with different color linings, he's only two colors with each outfit? Black and green, black and orange... it's too simple, not very aesthetic to me. Keep in mind, that's just a comment on the colors.

Suikoden 2 fella, looks better. I like his design.

@Scherzo:Thanks! When you say the colors are too simple and not very aesthitc, can you explain a bit more? Should I just change the colors he is wearing? or do you mean but more colors on him? And about Riou; Thanks! Tell me if the shading is okay, I don't really like the frames but can't decide what is wrong with them.

I actually like the simple colored "Leon". Those are great sprites for a starting character. But I do understand what scherzo means.

Imho, Mack works best when you take advantage of the possibility of the more detailed body/clothing. What I mean is, that you should consider "heavy edit" some of those similar clothes into 2nd or 3rd "class" sprites; For example, "Leon" could start as a basic class, and later on he could change classes (+ -> change sprite) into warrior/knight, cleric, mage etc.

Just my 2 cents. Great sprites them all.

@Azure Kite: Sure I guess i could but like i said I'm really kind of new and i can't gurantee terrific quality. BUT i will do my best (Like always)

@TheRawrnStuff: Funny that you mentioned that because that is actually what I had in mind! I was trying to make a simple set and when your armor is changed so is the color of your "lining" also was going to make three other sheets that were going to be a mage sprite and thief sprite. BUT I abondend that idea after i found out common events can't be run when equipping armor only when using items.

Yeah, can't really help you with the new armor=new sprite problem, although I do refuse to believe it's impossible. If it can change stats, it should also be able to change the used sprite - Alas, it probably must be done by editing the script..

@Senapho: More like thrid or fourth, the first ones i used Aerndyll's template. But i didn't like the template so I made a "template" of my own.

this might sound like a odd request, but could you make me a blank templet for the chibi style characters in the "down", like

when they get knock out or if there dead?, Boy and chick thanks

looks pretty good any way to give the charatcer some tone in muscles to make him look a little more bad ass. his face and bottom and coloring looks good. the arms and body could use a little more bam

if not doable dont fret it looks good anyways and ill use it
