Orb Puzzle Event System By Sean of Arc Well, I saw a charset, and I just made this to go with my game. I thought it was pretty nice, so I'm posting it! Basically, you place orbs in pedestals to open doors, melt ice, catch things on fire, anything you want, all with the help of switches! And I was lazy and added an Item pop-up script, mainly because I transfered the event system straight from my game to the Demo... 1. First off, Here is the Charset I'm referring to. (I did some editing to it from the original) Credit Matsuo Kaito for the originals. ![]() And this one from the same person is also used in the Demo: ![]() 2. Before we actually get going, I have spare time, and 3 more colors to use yet, so any ideas for Orbs? (You should probably read the whole thing first before giving any input...) LET'S BEGIN! Part 1: A-Z Vocabulary Spoiler: Part 2: Actual Events Spoiler: Part 3: Demo Download Spoiler: Tell me what you think. All criticism is welcomed. This looks really cool! I might use this in a future game.
P.S. You're demo is REALLY flawed. Make sure you fix the transfer events, and either add the BGM you used, or change it to one everyone has. Other than that, good job. -------------------- I support

I like the char sheets. Sorry that I don't have much feedback on the tutorial, cause I could probably event this, but it does look pretty clever so good job
Try not to post spam that is wholly about pointing out how great you are at eventing. - Celianna. -------------------- Variable/Game_Interpreter Fix
Spoiler: Event systems/Tutorials Spoiler: Waterfall Fade "It's not impossible to event until I say it is" Need help with a complex event system? Or just a basic eventing system? Or do you just have a good idea for an eventing tutorial you haven't seen yet? PM me the details and I'd be glad to create a system |

I like the whole idea of it and it's not bad but does the crystals actually blend in well with RTP? They look like a different style?

@dragonmark-
Thanks! I know, I'm updating it now. @kingsofrpg- Thank you. I only edited the first one. the second I just got from google... Again, If anyone knows who made those, inform me! @ShinGamix- The graphics don't really go together, I agree... But I'm using Mack's Tileset in my actual game, and they go much nicer together. EDIT: I fixed all the bugs I know of, and changed some things... FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! and you'll be fine. This post has been edited by Sean of Arc: Aug 29 2011, 05:08 PM -------------------- |

Mack Tiles are okay but too many people use them now and the characters are just to XP-ish for me

I agree. I actually started with XP, then I tried VX and I like it so much more! But I'm not enjoying the RTP tiles...
And yes, I am working on a project right now. I will create a thread for it once I have a demo finished. -------------------- |
