simple graphics and story, but gameplay is real good. i suggest a better HUD everything else, you should have icon and number displayed everytime especially the gold. also i suggest instead of the crater use a transparent graphics of the building when they dont exist yet. the cursor moves too slow, i also need to have something to display the time, i mean i need to know when the turn comes up, how fast are the gold spawned so that way i know in sequence what to click, the cursor needs to travel from one spot to the other to activate it.

so the shift key is only for using the arrow keys. i want to know the chance bad things happen like getting attacked by wolves, geting robbed, soldiers quit. are there good events too? like the citizens are so happy you get x5 gold? cause bad events happen to often its impossible to get a good start. you should have the input number when creating units. well a limited number of production thus add to strategy though.

I agree, this has a fun game system, though it could use some tweaks.
Timers for the incoming troops would make it more involved strategically, knowing when the enemy is coming allows you to make a plan of defense instead of just hoping to build things in time.
While building units and such, it pops up a text menu and you wait there. This could be changed to just waiting in the background, so that you can get back to collecting resources, yet still wait a sec for your soldiers.
I think transparent graphics for un-built buildings is a great idea, that way you don't have to spend time on each new map trying to find out where to build what you need. For the soldier graphics, I suggest changing color and/or adding another graphic as you recruit more, so that you can see at a glance how your military is doing.
I think this game has potential, it's straight to the action, quick to learn, and offers a reward for your time. Good job.

Thank you guys for the response! I'm glad you like it! biggrin.gif
You gave me good ideas to tweak the game a bit.
@frzhrt834: This is already a part 2 from one of my german games.^^
I've changed the name from "Castle Conflict 2" to "Castles at War" for the english version, because I didn't want to translate the first part, which rather was something like a test on how to build a system for a real-time-strategy-game. It was much more random-based, than this part. I've changed the whole system for this part and liked it much more. Besides that there also was a game called Castle Conflict (1+2), so I had to change the name. I didn't noticed that, when I made the german version.
However, I was thinking about a third part a long time... maybe I'll do this someday. smile.gif

Greetings

oh you could make it so that there are individual timers on the left side of the screen. like next attack in x:xx:xx
then you have the HUD at top which can be toggled with the X button. there are many script for showing pictures and texts to help you, you wont need much scripting, except for the timers i guess. well if you play some facebook games you'd know what i mean. well there are many other games in android which you can get a format of the interface im trying to point out.

@new: Yea, I know what you mean. I've made a little Construct 2 Game with the concept of Castles at War with complete HUD (expect Timers). This is somewhat of a lite version with different settings. The gameplay is a bit slow, but it shows the concept in a little different way. You can play it in your Browser on my Homepage, if you're interested: http://rainzone.de.tl/Castle-Construct--k1-v2-.-6-k2-.htm

nice i tested it. i really just hate how often you get bad things to happen. :c using icons would be a lot cuter. in your construct 2 version, well not picking up the gold and it getting auto add seems better.
