ok so i have an event box with the trigger set to auto run and self swith a on. i made a second page that turns switch a off. this makes it not put up any text in the beginning... please help.

Use a self switch. At the end of your event put in the command saying "Self switch A=ON"
Create a new page and on that page (which should be empty) check the box that says "if self switch A=ON" --------------------   Spoiler: |
