Want to make a summon system like final fantasy 7? (no crazy animation, sorry)
Assuming you know a little
bit of scripting and you know how to event...
1. first make/get a sprite of your summon.
2. make an actor out of it.
3. then make a skill called "Summon _____" and give it a common event called "Summon ____".
Im making my game with 3 players max to fight with, so yours might look different if you use 4 people max to fight with.
I made the summon into the 4th actor in battle.
This is what my common event looks like:
You can put any animation in there and whatever you think will beaf the summon up.
And this is what my tankentai side view script looks like:
I made the 4th actor position (the summon) infront of the middle person in the <ACTOR_POSITION> line.
I gave to skill to the person who would summon in my game, and so the person summons, the summon uses Darkness, and then dissapears. MP cost is up to you.
This may look like Jackrmesser's event tutorial, but his is for aeons (FFX) that you can keep using throughout the battle.
