I mentioned to Pine that if we get at least 20 applicants I would toss in an additional prize for all three places. What that is will stay a sekret until it gets down to the final days, I would like all the applicants to follow through. Currently I am encouraging as many people as possible to enter. My personal goal is 35 entrants, if we get that many I will up the anti beyond what I plan to add if we get 20. I would suggest not entering until you are 95-100% sure that you will produce something, this will allow an accurate count and make it worth the added extra. So, with that said, GO GO GO!

Also how do we submit entries? Will there be a separate thread or do we post download links here?

I'm writing up the info for this right now. I didn't see it needing to be up in a hurry considering the contest just opened. biggrin.gif

Anyway, the rules for submissions should be up before the end of today.

That sounds really nice, I truly hope people get up and realize how bloody amazing this contest is and will be later on and PARTICIPATES!! It's also nice to see that you actually get a prize for the top 3, there are not many RPG Maker competitions with actual prizes!

I've already come a long way actually, but with all the ambition I have for this it's still going to be one hell of a challenge completing this before the 25th. I'll try to cut down on my perfectionism and create as much new, good content as fast as I possibly can!

Sound's intresting Fandaxu, hoping that it encourages more people to join.

Good luck to all those who enter, i'm looking forward to playing them all ^w^=b.

I mean......AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

*cough* HEY! Wait a minute, if 20, let alone 35 people enter then i have to play THAT many games D=.

Haha, looking forward to it nonetheless.

Thought; although we are not allowed to use teams, are we allowed to requisition assets from other members, or non-members?

IE; Could I ask someone who's an artist to do up some drawings, or someone who's skilled with music to create music?

Or must anything I put in be an already existing open resource, or something I create by myself?

I would suggest producing any custom stuff outside of content already available yourself. This will cut down on the "hey he used a team and cheated" argument that may or may not spring up. Custom content is nice, but it's the overall gameplay that takes precedent when it comes to my scoring process. A shiny piece of poop is still a piece of poop no matter how much gloss is added.

It seems to me, and I defer to my better here wink.gif but
ISTM that if you make a request on the open forum, and anyone can use what you request, then that is fair game.
If you request something that is only for you, then that person is a "teammate" and it is a nono.

But overall I agree with Zeep -
with creativity and careful work you can make something fun and interesting, even with the (now THIS is scary!) RTP...

oooh, GrandmaDead is getting chills up and down her decaying spine.....

Maybe I sound selfish but I've made custom stuff for this content that I'll keep to myself, maybe you should do the same.

Well, I know I said the above yesterday, but... I've been a bit out of it this weekend. Anyway, I promise I'll have the submissions setup by the end of Monday. Other stuff is effecting my attention at the moment outside the forums.

And seriously, if you are thinking about submitting already... I suggest... you just tweak somemore.

As have I.... only exception I'd note is that if you are doing a community sprite of yourself because one is lacking (like me...... huh.gif ), post it in the community gallery already....

Is the project allowed to exceed 90 minutes of gametime? Or is 15 the minimum and 90 the maximum? smile.gif

90 minutes max. Afterall, the judges have to play through all the games within a couple days and do reviews of all of them. Kinda hard to do that with excessively long games.

it'll make it easier for those of us who can't make long RPGs, esp. since some of us have a hard time keeping our attention to a game really
