Story:
God has decided that you, unfortunate soul that you are, are slated for entrance to Enlightenment. There is one small catch, however. You have to earn your way into paradise. Through a variety of traps, obstacles, and mildly amusing puzzles you must travel, until at last you reach the end of your journey.

Features:
- Beautifully crafted RTP graphics, created in masterful style. The value of this art is apparent when seen against the gorgeous backdrops of the default tiles and sample maps.

Game Stats:
- The game is pretty short, and can be completed in anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.

I downloaded it, but I have an error. As soon as you get the first puzzle right, it can't find the sound file Victory. Speaking of which, the first puzzle was impossible, nearly. I was never very good at riddles, and if the game IS riddles, this may not be my type. I'll stick with it and edit the sound out of the game.

EDIT: Again, I couldn't do it. Every time the Victory popped up, it ended the game and I didn't want to go back through every part over again. I think it's meant to be the Victory1 sound.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
NJ, I took a look at the error and it was definitely my bad. For some reason the file didn't get compressed with everything else and there were issues. It should be fixed up now, along with a few other minor corrections I made. The "riddle" is a bit more obvious now, if you talk to everyone and everything possible. If anyone needs hints, just ask and I'll help you out. ;o
That's really the only riddle in the game. Everything else is pretty much a browse around and use items to get items sort of thing, in the vein of a Zelda trading game.

So check out the new version, which should have everything needed for steady progress, and enjoy playing!
(The whole game is only about 5mb, so it shouldn't be a big deal)

i get an error when trying to use the kitty as a favor. ?

also, when using items on the crystal there is no response at all. and in alaska you can't walk outside, or even get a response for trying like the other rooms.


i think without kitty i'm stuck, or i really am stupid =( Graphics/character/$animal_02

Fratley: Try re-downloading the file. I'm not exactly sure what problem you're having, but the new download will take care of your issues.
I also added some little text dialogue so you can have responses at those places.

Kyle: Thanks for the comment. I'm not really worried about encrypting the game at this point. It's nothing special, and the worst that can happen is that someone could look in and see how inefficient my eventing is. XD

actually I appreciate it not being encrypted. I've learned much through your project, and in fact i wish more were open for others eyes. With that being said, I'll redownload and try, thanks!


edit* kitty is broken again. -sigh- if you give kitty the tuna, it jumps down, go to another area to see what "favor" you need of him, come back, kitty is back on boxes and can't talk to him anymore. Hmph!

Going to re-download, hope it works. I like people trying to make puzzle games with RPGVX. Puzzles are very hard to make IMO. Everyone can see straight through mine.

So far I liked it... But the story in the beginning is missing. If there is one. I mean that I expected the beginning to be when god puts you to arrest but there was no cuitscenes in beginning. (if that is how you meant it to be then np)

I found the puzzles rather nice. I know they might be challenging to someone who hasn´t played much puzzles, but I love them and I got nicely hang of things.
But I have the same problem with the cat. The point where I cannot get further without it´s favor, the game crashes complaining that the graphic for cat stopped working.

Could you try to upload the game again? I liked it a lot and wish you get it working.

it's pretty freakin' easy. there is only one other npc you can speak to and he screams to you that he solves all riddles. =\
