So after messing around with it, everything seems great, and works wonderfully. only one small graphical error, which is if there isn't a cell update, for example, hitting the last tile of the board and thus no NEW cells are opened, then the cost of that tile you unlocked will remain there until an update, or another tile unlocks new tiles, or until the menu is closed and re-entered. Nothing major, something likely to be on the bottom of the "to-do" list for this script. Seems perfect otherwise to me!
Though one question, how hard would it be for you to allow skill LEARNING through this script, rather then just giving the player the ability to use something they already have? Say I unlock Lv 1 White Magic, which would normally allow me to use Cure and Poisona, rather then me having to buy or otherwise earn the spell, is it within your power/skill level as a scripter to make it possible to give the actor that spell when the cell is unlocked? Just curious, again not one of those top of the list things to consider.
