I haven't played a lot of RPGs that had sad (or crying) endings, but the most emotional game for me was Breath of Fire II and IV. I pity Fou lu.
Next thing would be the Suikoden series. In every series a major character dies in an unexpected moment~
So far, I don't recall myself crying while playing a video game... (unless when my mom tells me to stop playing)

I was seriously about to mention this. Good ending, but I probably cried because I'm a sap (Cried for 8 Below >.<).

not a single game has made me cry!
HOWEVER i was Very close to ears when i finished Lost Odyssey!
as i had spent Many hours leveling all my characters and seth had always been my favorite!

I've played a lot of games, but the only ending I cried to was Kingdom Hearts 356/2 Days, when Xion died and everyone forgot about her.
Although Final Fantasy X was pretty sad, too...

(1)Final Fantasy X-2(the Perfect Ending, *crying*)
(2)Final Fantasy X(*crying*)
(3)Final Fantasy VIII(The whole cutscene and FMV made me more realise about romance love and friendship)
(4)Suikoden 2(the Best Ending, where you managed to stop Jowy from dying and found out that Nanami is still alive)
(5)Final fantasy IX(The whole cutscene and FMV made me learn more of the meaning of life's goals)

That's really really sad. I can tell. Wish I've played that...

Aw man. Zack dies at the end?! Sorry but I COULDNT BEAT THE FINAL BOSS!!!! I was so upset that i never knew what happens in the end just because i couldnt beat the final boss T-T (Btw that was my cry moment) I couldnt beat the final boss and i wanted to know what happened to zack xD (Dont blame me i was a kid back then)

NGL, seeing Tidus fade away at the end of FFX made me cry lol
Anime shows hit me harder than video games for the part, so that's the only one I can think of.

Other than Mother 3, the other endings that really impacted me where Okami and Okamiden

I have never cried at the end of a game, except, of course, for one of the Sly Cooper games, I think he faked amnesia in it or something, and I thought that was where the series would end. It was about ten minutes of tears.

The Legend of Dragoon. Not the entire ending, just one part in particular;

Spoiler:

In the beginning Lavitz says to Dart that when the war is over, they should have a drink together. Soon after, Lavitz is killed by the Wingly Lloyd. After the game is finished and the ending starts going, there's one scene where Dart goes to Lavitz house, brings two drinks by a picture of Lavitz, drinks one and leaves the other.

I would have to say Xenosaga 3...although I never finished it, I saw the ending scene where KOS-MOS gets torn apart by a Gnosis and Jin dies with his memories and thoughts played as he lies on his back to a wall...the atmosphere of the game was very sad with the music playing too.

Four pages and no one's mentioned NieR? That game made me cry for two days! It's one of my all-time favorite games and I can't even play it again because I know where it goes ;_;
