I'm going to teach people how to make a floor that randomly cracks.
Choose where the cracks will be.
Create a new event where the cracks will be.
Make a page 2 and use what the cracked floor will look like (I use the black hole in tileset D).
On the second page, turn on self switch A. Also, set it to player touch.
Set page 1 to player touch as well.
Insert a control variable on page 1.
Make the variable a random number 0-whatever you want it to be. You can make it 0-0 for cracked when stepped on, or 0-10 to make breaking really rare.
Insert a conditional branch and make the variable if equal to 0 to turn on self switch A and teleport the player to the floor below.
Now test it out, it should work!
I'm including a test demo, and also inside is how a poison tile could work.
In addition, you could make it that a certain class can disarm the poision tiles or the breaking by making a conditional branch by seeing is the person who is the disarming class and if they are that nothing happens, but if not, then the regular processes take place.http://www.mediafire.com/?cgvbjjanu4u
