you know it would be cool if you could combine them too like you cut sets from here and there and then glue them all together.
I know this can be done in even paint but I think it's a pain in the rear but just an Idea smile.gif

Are people this lazy to use such a tool? I guess they are. Good for folks that can't use graphic editors properly, that's for sure.

Actually, Jason, there's some people like myself that can't really distinguish where one set starts and another ends. I myself have to keep cropping over and over to get the right size, cause I'm always a few pixels off. uwu

Something like this would be useful if I wasn't so lazy that I don't want to download something to enable me to be lazier. xD

all you have to do is flip on your grid view, set your default grids correctly, then "snap to grid"

bam! now you can crop to your heart's content wink.gif
super simple...

but yeah, I guess this tool is usual for them and those aforementioned.

But the age of chivalry is gone. That of sophisters, economists, and calculators, has succeeded; and the glory of Europe is extinguished for ever. Never, never more shall we behold that generous loyalty to rank and sex, that proud submission, that dignified obedience, that subordination of the heart, which kept alive, even in servitude itself, the spirit of an exalted freedom. The unbought grace of life, the cheap defense of nations, the nurse of manly sentiment and heroic enterprise, is gone!

useful tool but yeah i find it's easier just to open a pre made single sheet in gimp/photoshop then paste the larger file on top and simply move it around until the character is in focus

Sorry for a very late reply. I've been having some major internet connection problems.
I'll be putting a new version of the tool up soon. The new version will have the option to do the reverse of the current version, sewing single character sheets together.

Why not make it so it can split icons and re-combine them? Same with sprite sheets? And face sets?

Well, at the moment you can split face sets, and since sewing them together is really just the reverse, it will also work for sticking face sets together. Put simply, it just cuts an image into 4 images by 2 images. For icons, I'd need to create another system entirely.

If I have extra time I'll be able to make an icon stitcher. It should be quite simple.

This is a little tool I'm working on for splitting character sheets. It can split a sheet of 4 characters x 2 characters, such as the default RMVX RTP character sheets.

Screenshot:

How to use it:
Double click the panel on the left hand side of the window(where the character sheet is in the screenshot) to open a character sheet.
Use the track bar at the bottom to scroll through the characters.
Right click on the character and click 'Save As'
Remember to put a '$' at the start of the file name so RPG Maker VX reads it correctly.

Thank you very much. smile.gif

But it does not work very well; as a programmer there are several crash issues and such. It would be better to input the size proportions it would cut. I am using Mack styled sprites.
