?? What to do About Ralph ??
This is not a contest but a resource exercise with resources

..::About::..
Ralph--the most boring hero in the RPGVX family. Why? Well, because he is the “demo hero,” often considered cliché and unoriginal. Everyone is so use to seeing him that it’s hard to use him. Hate to say it, but everyone's just sick of him.

So, what are we going to do about it? Re-make him! Give him a new identity!

This was originally going to be made a contest, but since no one ever got back to me on it, I think I'll just post it as a resource. This post is geared towards taking something we’re use to seeing and forcing ourselves to think outside of the box--a good, fun exercise to show the community that resources can be found all around you, even in places you are not even aware.
(My example:)

Make an updated portrait AND face for Ralph useable for the RPG Maker VX. Sprites are optional, as spriting is a whole new ball game. Try to be as original as you can and use all the resources at your disposal. WORK MUST BE YOUR OWN.

Remember, by submitting your work, you are giving people permission to use this resource in their game. This is a resource page, after all.

HOWEVER--IF YOU DO USE ANY OF THE RESOURCES IN THIS POST, FULL CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN TO THE CREATOR(S)!!!

Why not? It's not a contest. It's just posting simular artwork in one post. It's an
exercise promoted to encouraging gamers to find resources in their own backyard
by showing them that resources can even come from overused ones--like Ralph.
Also, the works in the post are all usable resources for people to use, that's why it's
in the Resources section.

Just for fun. There is no competition or anything. Just a way to reveal people's
creative side and showcase their work to the community. Should be fun.

I'll be making some more maybe, when the boredom takes over. It's easy, nice and fun, also a great way to improve in portrait working

Sketchy, I might actually have a use for your Ralph in one of my projects! I love him. XD

@ strawberrycat24 : Don't underestimate yourself. He's a great start. After all,
practice makes perfect--or as near perfect as humanly possible. As for your face,
He's good. Just watch the hair color. Even if he's a redhead, you don't want the
color to stick out too much or it will throw off the balance of the image. Also, since
his head has been turned at a slight angle, you might want to trim the hair to the right
of his face (our left) or even it out by making another that comes down on the other
side. Don't be afraid to play around with your work and save lots of copies. That way,
if you mess up or don't like your newest edit, you can go back. I like the eyes, and he
definately looks like a reluctant hero, perhaps unsure of himself.

@ Kefra : I agree. I've just recently started to get use to editing portraits and now I
think it's kinda fun.

@Jaide : Thanks. I'm always glad to hear one of my portraits has found a new home.
Feel free to use it. Only, when you use the sprite that goes with it, be sure to credit
Jisatsu, too. He was nice enough to make the sprite set for my Ralph.
