Slimey
Slimey is a fairytale movie, and has a mix of several Disney movies in it (The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast etc) to heighten the cliches and cheesiness. Slimey will be a short romantic movie about a slime that falls in love with a human girl, and wants to turn into a human himself to be with her. He sets out to visit the Witch, rumour says that she can turn a monster into a human. The Witch agrees to turn him into a human, in turn for his soul. She gives him an ultimatum, if Slimey manages to kiss the girl he loves before the full moon, he can keep his soul and his humanity. But if he doesn't ...


Slimey is very much a community game to me. Not because it features community characters, but because I used resources from a lot of members here. That to me, makes it feel like a community game. I couldn't have done it without you guys! Special thanks to PINEDAVX and Jalen for the Slimey sprite and faces. Characters

Spoiler:

Slimey/Sly
Our main character! Slimey is a timid slime, and likes to forage for flowers because they're delicious. One day he meets a girl in the woods, and becomes quite interested in her. Eventually, he begins to like her and wants to turn into a human to be with her. Once transformed, he doesn't quite know how to act like a human just yet, but he's confident that he'll meet his true love. When he does meet her, she misunderstands him and thinks his name is Sly, and not Slimey.



Karin
Karin is our love interest in the story. She lives in a small village with her senile grandma, and likes to go to the forest to collect flowers. She's mostly reserved, but very adamant about hurting animals or monsters, and thus dislikes being around Ralph most of the time. Ralph seems to like her, but Karin has absolutely no interest in an arrogant guy like that.



Witch
The Witch, who lives in a mysterious cave, surrounded by her magic. Slimey sets out to meet her, because he has heard rumours that she can turn him into a human. Albeit, that comes with a price ...


Ralph
This arrogant guy lives in the same village as Karin, but is mostly out on adventures, fighting monsters and becoming strong. He seems to like Karin and tries to win her over, by showing off his awesome fighting powers, but nothing seems to have impressed her.


Gloria
The spoiled little girl from the village. She crushes on Ralph, and hates Karin's guts. She looks forward every year to the Full Moon Festival, because she loves the castle.


Grandma
This is Karin's grandma. She's old, and has gone senile, promptly cursing at people whenever she feels like it. She used to be a nice quiet old lady though. Now she lives with her granddaughter and tailors clothing for the residents of the village.

Slimey is very cliched and borrows plot points from so many different fairy tale movies. I'm a fan of TV Tropes and have even added some tropes in Slimey on purpose. Here's a small list of Tropes found in Slimey.

Action Girl - Karin can almost qualify for this when she tries to rescue Slimey.
Badass - The Grandma.
Berserk Button - Ralph when he sees Slimey with Karin.
Beta Couple - Ralph and Gloria.
Big No - Said by Karin when the Witch is about to extract Slimey's soul.
Clingy Jealous Girl - Gloria.
Costume Porn - Everyone changes into glamorous outfits during the festival.
Crazy Jealous Guy - Ralph.
Cute Mute - Slimey, though he can speak a few words.
Dances and Balls - There's a big festival at the end with a dance.
Deal With the Devil - Slimey makes a deal with the Witch to turn into a human, in return for his soul.
Disappeared Dad - Karin mentions that Slimey's clothes are her dad's old clothes, but the dad is nowhere to be found.
Evil Laugh - The Witch does this twice.
Fairy Tale - Lampshaded by Karin at the end. "What is this, a fairy tale?".
Falling in Love Montage - Quite literally.
Fanservice - Any time Slimey is naked in his human form.
Fish Out Of Water - Slimey is after all, a slime, and knows almost nothing about humans.
Getting Crap Past The Radar - "She's all covered in my slime." "Make sure to do *** and *** to him.".
Happily Ever After - Basically implied by the end.
Innocent Innuendo - Slimey is shown naked, in his human form, sweating all over his body, slightly blushing and saying "My body .. feels .. s-so strange." But that's because he's was just transformed into his new body and the side effects aren't all that pleasant.
Jerk Ass - Ralph, but he gets better.
Loser Gets The Girl - Ralph, the dashing knight in shining armour, versus the slime. The slime wins.
Meet Cute - The way Slimey eventually meets Karin.
Missing Mom - At least the dad was mentioned, but no mother.
Parody - Ralph is usually the main character who beats up slimes. In Slimey, the slime is the main character, and while Ralph does get to beat him up, Slimey wins the girl.
Pinocchio Syndrome - Slimey after he meets Karin.
Plot Hole - How can Slimey understand humans, but not talk himself?
Racist Grandma - Grandma calls Slimey a *** when she first meets him. She spouts off several insults afterwards as well.
Rescue Romance - Slimey falls in love after Karin rescues him from Ralph.
Scenery Porn - All the detailed parallax maps.
Sealed With a Kiss - Slimey and Karin kiss at the end.
Shirtless Scene - Slimey has many. Karin response is mostly a Luminescent Blush.
Shout Out - During the Witch's enchantment, she says 'Gobligook'. There's a song named Gobbledigook by Sigur Ros that consists out of all nonsense words. Also Ralph's statement that he's got countless of battle experience.
Transformation Sequence - When Slimey turns into a human, and back again.
True Love's Kiss - Mentioned by the Witch as a requirement for Slimey to stay human.
Tsundere - Gloria.
Wicked Witch - The Witch.

Watch out Slimey, Ralph wants you dead! Poor slimes always getting beat up by Ralph.

I've timed the cutscenes I have right now, and in total it's 7 minutes and 30 seconds long - up till Slimey reaches the Witch. That's the entire introduction! It might end up being a total of 1 hour ._.

Indeed, We don't know if it's Disney's Little Mermaid, or the Original Little Mermaid.

The Original fairy tale leaves the little mermaid heartbroken as her prince runs off with the witch that took her voice. I watched a dramatic retelling of the life of the author and what he was going through when he wrote that fairy tale... yeah, he was pretty bitter and bummed out.

Besides, this whole movie is incredibly cheesy, not much seriousness to it. Just a little fun thing to watch!

Yes Slimey was naked, but Karin changed him into some clothes. Don't worry, you get some good naked shots in the movie

@Cyl: funny that you mention it, I did have the Skype logo in my mind when making that one. Same woobly letters and some sort of outline, only mine is cyan letters with a white outline, while theirs is white letters with a cyan outline.
