Just one quick question xd
I did parallaxing normally with one layer of parallax and one picture overlay. However, when I want to tint my screen (for a night screen, for example), the picture layer would still be the same and it stood out A LOT. Is there any possible way to tackle this or I have to manually apply the color change in an image editing program? |

You have to tint the picture as well, just use the command Tint Picture on the second tab.

It works! ~
I'm running windows 7, but by using the demo Celianna were so kind to post, I can now decide which way my characters can enter different objects! Parallax mapping wouldn't be the same without this, so thank you Celianna =] Next I have to understand how you can make objects be above the character.. |

The Tileset tool worked just fine under my Windows 7 .____. Do you have 32 bit Windows 7? It's possible it works under 32 bit, but I have 64 bit and it definitely does not work for me. Celianna, I don't know how I haven't seen this tutorial before, but this will help me tremendously! Still a bit confused on the tile extension script, but I downloaded your demo project just in case. I'm sure I can make use of these. :3 |

I've made an overlay with [FIXED] in the file name, and I placed it as a picture for my map with OriginalWij's script. I also made the parallax for the map.
But I have a slight problem. It seems that the parallax moves when I move to certain areas of the map, so as the picture stays in stationary the map moves. So it makes it look all trippy. But then again im not sure whether the parallax is moving or the picture. Spoiler: I don't know what I did wrong. How would I fix this? |

Are both pictures (overlay picture and parallax) the same size, that corresponds to the mapsize in VX?

It should be, but I'll try to remake it again and see if that was the problem.
EDIT: Thank you, Celianna. It seems that was the case (It was off by 1 pixel in width and 1 pixel in height). Though I found it strange that it worked on me after the 5th try on remaking it. Thanks again This post has been edited by MajorDonut: Jun 23 2011, 03:29 PM |

Nice.. I looked at this and looked at SamGreen's Tutorial at same time and it took me about a couple of hours to get the handel of the mapping in GImp or PS - I use GImp. Any way it looks hard but kinda easy when you get to know the functions, how to set it up and the pros and cons. This tutorial realy helps.
Also i noticed the program does not open for me. I mean the tool and i just started reading through their help menu and found something that said NET Framework 2.0 Then i noticed that some windows 7 users might not have NetFramework because Ex: i just got my computer and it came with windows 7 Ultimate 32x and i usualy reinstall the windows 7 setup like eveyr week, kinda like to do it over and over again but i play this game call S4 league and when ever i reinstall i play that game first. In the installation Agreement it says Net Frame 4 will be required and if you don't have will be install and i had other games that required that and i didn't know. They would give me this random screen saying Net Framework needed. I looked at this tool not working and netframe being asked and i know it has to do with Having Net Frame ON your computer. So for windows 7 users try and get it and if you already have but not working chek the microsoft website and look for windows xp package addon or just google it. Download it and it should work fine. -------------------- |

I used Ice Dragon's 4-way passability script, but it doesn't work well. Something like this happens:
![]() I set the passability to be passable from the bottom but it's not working. It still wont let me pass |
