Spoiler:
Hello, I am Bizarre Monkey, and this is my second game. I have polished the campaign which is now over 5 hours long. This is version 1.1, while it may be true that 5 hours aint no epic, not everything needs to be final fantasy game length, seriously, that shits ridiculous. You can also save any time you have control of player movement (outside minigames) making this accessible for both the working man and those with actual time.
Spoiler:
A group of three regular animals are doing what they usually do to live, which includes scheming, theft, and by no means any real dangerous crimes. after being worried about suspiscion of a recent theft involving fish they go off to Tristy's house to take a break for ten days, reciting past events and such, they soon realize they had'nt heard from Pep in a while, but soon find out he was sleeping under the couch. Then all of the sudden, a massive foe emerged, iconized by a gaseous Blue Face with jagged teeth and eyes, the foe immediately brings forth a quick battle, in which the entity inevitably wins, they find themselves in some sort of Undead City, they are later told that it is a necropolis, and that they have been slain. On command of superiors, they then begin training in an attempt to save the world from his Madness.
Spoiler:
Rolly Fatdog
Species: Beagle
Age: 4 human years
IQ: 126
Origin: New Jersey
Gender: Male
Rolly is a good-hearted green dog who loves his food. He loves brawling as well. So he will pick just about any excuse to go on an adventure. Despite his arguing with Pep and excessive brawling and eating, he seems to be the most level headed of the three, he is also the least intelligent, but that doesn't make him any less formidable in battle, he has enough knowledge to know his weight is his weapon, usually doing body slams, rollouts, stomps, and moving his whole body to increase the power of his punches.

Pep Cookiedoe
Species: Tabby
Age: 3 human years
IQ: 145
Origin: London
Gender: Male

Pep is a hyperactive red cat who loves red cordial, it is all he ever drinks or eats for that matter, due to the red dye in his drink he has turned that color himself. He and Rolly had the same owner, and have known each other since being born, Rolly and Pep's parents are unknown. Pep's personality is often erratic, and can be very nice, sad, cynical and silly, all changing from one to another on a moments notice, there are a few constants however, Pep will either get very upset, tempered or depressed when he doesn't have any red cordial, when Pep has recently had red cordial, he is very jolly, extremely optimistic, and usually floating, though red cordial in the game is an item which revives players for no apparent reason, Pep usually refers to it as an addiction which can not be stemmed. While Tristy and Rolly just Pass this off and try to help him find something else to do, Pep does seem to get seriously depressed when no red cordial is within reach, almost to a breakdown stage.

None the less Pep is a good friend and keeps the story entertaining, from wacky stories about when he met a Clown to his visions when he has had one drop of red cordial too many. Pep is responsible, and does have morals, though barely.

Tristy Heals
Species: Mountain Kangaroo
Age: 5 human years
IQ: 168
Origin: Mallanganee
Gender: Female

Tristy is a mountain kangaroo who finds Rolly and Pep looking through bushes at a mysterious man, she has since been in there party, healing wounds and helping Rolly deal with Pep's craziness. Tristy is laid back and carefree most of the time, but she knows when there is real danger and acts accordingly. years in the past (only two.) she and a brave group of mammals from Mallanganee did battle with an ancient and evil entity, shortly realized he was immortal, and instead imprisoned him within a massive security prison, which is later breached and the prisoner set free.

Tristy seems to be the only person in the party with an accent or lingo (outside of Pep's sporadic british quips). Tristy is also the most intelligent of the group, with her status page showing an I.Q of over 160, most humans who had this kind of IQ would be referred to as super human, her IQ is higher than Pep despite him being a Technological Wizard, but this is largely because of Pep's lack of common sense.

Limbo Mingo
Species: Skeleto
Age: 166 Human years
IQ: 154
Origin: The Necropolis
Gender: Male

Limbo is the most recent addition to the party, during a Maintenance test in The Slammer, --a massive food processor that keeps all inhabitants of the Necropolis well fed and jolly-- Safiercat and Limbo were figuring out what the problem with one of the output shafts was, Safiercat said Push the Big Red Shiny Button, which sent Limbo to the world of the living, much to his chagrin. Shortly after the currently 3 adventurers catch sight of the muling Skeleto, and shortly afterwards he joins the party, with the ideal 'It will give me something to do' while he waited for Safiercat to fix the problem or he died properly again. Limbo is very stuck in the Skeletopian way of life, which revolves around having childrens parties and basically nothing else. When he does sparingly reminisce of his life it seems he may have been a Swashbuckler, a pirate if you will. Details about this are sparse but it is the closest anyone has gotten to his history.

Generally, Limbo is very easy to get along with, and gets over anger quickly, to the point of forgetting something uncharitable he said to someone at the focus of his anger. His Shirt is globally recognised as the best shirt ever, and respectably fabulous to boot.
Spoiler:
The World is an evolved version of ours, fast forwarded 40 years when humans have left the planet and the animals have been left to roam free. During the time the "old ones" have been away the world has healed tremendously and the Wildlife has become rather intelligent and have made their own civilization. While still looking like Normal earth cats, kangaroos, dogs, mice or what have you, their intelligence has increased tremendously. Making a primitive yet interesting version of our earth. Humans are also disliked by most animals in general due to them leaving the whole place behind, some see it the other way, that them leaving made sure they were there today, all biased on their upbringing.

The Wildlife also refer to Humans as "Old Ones", seeing as most of the humans have been around for a while and have a longer lifespan than most animals, it is also because they do not remember what they called themselves as when humans were last here their pets were too primitive.

Spoiler:
Patch 1.1.9
Map Title Screen is gone for now, sorry fellas! On the flipside, you can now have up to 99 Saves.

New Logo dealie, its much more effective in game.

Rolly's floor, you may also notice a change to the windowskin.

Yet again, Tristy looks rich, Only I know the deal with that, its a mystery to Tristy herself how she keeps raking in all this sweet loot.

Sad face.

Yeah, I got sick of those ladders, elevators are just so much more practical!

But who can resist the allure of such a shiny well polished red button!? (Protip: Save before use.)

Hells yeah, Ace Battlebacks. Oh yeah, thats midway through Pep shooting his Shotgun... you heard me.

Why is it that when the subject of cliche boss mechanics is broached, your sparing human intellects assume the most ingratiating form of surren--- blah blah blah.

That attic just wasn't cutting it, this verandah is far more practical, and scenic to boot!

Hmmm... interesting.

Unamused Pep is not amused.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:
Patch 1.1.9 (Build 4)
General:
- Ryu's Pendant was changed to Blu Pendant and now gives 5% MP Regen instead of double experience gain, which was breaking the game in some cases.
- Nerfed the Damage multiplier on Party Fever slightly.
Encounters:
- Cenobites had their health increased to 5000 from 750.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug that occured with Lingoless Lament if you got it early be means of bonus experience gain, and tried using it on Cenobites which would cause an error to occur, removing its death infliction on attack nullified the issue.
- Fixed up some coherency between what happens in game and the Biography on the Status Menus.
- The party now ages 10 years on the status menu when you begin act three.
- Fixed a cosmetic faceset error when you went to hope post-plantation.
- Lingoless Lament no longer ignores defence, meaning it wont pierce Pyro's barrier.
Patch 1.1.9 (Build 3)
General:
- All JPEG artefacts are now PNG, with the exception of all but one battle background.
- Brisbane got a new battleback, credit to Ronove.
- Introduction and Departure from Earth changed slightly.
- End of Act Bosses now have smaller battlers.
- The Game Launch Icon has changed to something more Iconic.
- Title Screens were modified to contrast less colorwise.
- The ship interface for "Old Ones" in the Introduction has changed color to make it less seemingly identical to Galaxion console.
- Gameover Inducing buttons removed.
- Gameover PSYCHE removed. Have plans to add it in somewhere later.
- BlueSky changed to VX Ace instead of incompetently put together homestuck cloudscreen.
- A few graphics have changed due to my inability to back shit up.
- Pep's Happy mood face has been changed to something less creepy and irrefusably more charming.
- The Angry and Sad Emotion of the Rolly faceset have been changed to give more charm.
- The Wink, Unamused, Angry and Sad Emotions of Tristy's Facesets have been changed in favour of more charm.
- Changed the faces of most of the Ancient Ones.
- A few bits of flavour text have been changed.
Encounters:
- Heelfoxes in brisbane reduced from 4 to 2.
- Shadow Pixies in Spriteopia down from 8 to 4, the mimics are no longer there and instead simply give one item each.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed an issue with Pep's Elemental Fury ability which would on occasion cause Pep to turn invisible instead of growing, now he has an animation play that maybe slightly familiar.
- Fixed a bug that could be gamebreaking which involved entering gaseous when you werent meant to.
- Fixed a gamebreaking issue with Pyro caused by a missing Tankentai sequence he invoked near the end of battle.
- Fixed the passability of some recently modified events.
- Fixed a bug which may have been causing Galaxia to be un-enterable.
- Fixed a few typos and mistakings, such as Trixie which should be Tristy.
- Safiercat's name should now be fully redacted. Safael should have replaced every form of Safiercat.
- Fixed a bug with Old Mac's Munchies that when exited would drop you out the exit of Kirsill's Kiosk.
- Fixed a Gamebreaking Bug that occured when leaving the training halls in the Necropolis prematurely.
- Probably heaps more I forgot about.
Patch 1.1.9 (Build 2)[/size]
General:
The Installation of the project is now a little more complex, but will make it easier for me to update in the long run, VX's size cap of 128 megabytes is the cause, so when you download the newest version, the zip will contains an extractable game application, as well as an archive with the games bgm, extract it into the games Audio Folder.
Removed Limbo's ability to Summon the Necropolis, instead, you may now visit the cemetary south of Brisbane and north of Lismore and enter the abbey there.
Bugfixes
When killing Maw, Safael would remain in the party and get the experience for his death because he died before he was meant to, and then the game would crash, fixed by adding Maw's Immortal tag back.
Magnamose under certain conditions, would kill the party with his final phase, this has been corrected.
Fixed a few inconsistencies.
The RTP version was misplacing the title screen, using the VX default, this was caused by it favoring the .png format over .jpg, the easy correction was to replace the jpg wth a .png version.
Some other small things I probably forgot.
Patch 1.1.9
General:
- Asides from item icons, all art has been redone, and the tilesets modified in such a way as to not force the game to look like shit.
- Faces are now 192x192 pixels, allowing for extra expression and less limitations on size.
- Additional flare has been added to existing cutscenes, the most notorious example of such would be The War between Cats and Dogs and the Opening Sequence.
- Universal Travel has been modified and feels a fair bit more aesthetic.
- Galaxia has been given a face lift (again) and the art for each Galaxion has been updated.
- Music Rearrangement has taken place, all World of Warcraft music tracks are gone (thank god) and scenes should play a lot more aesthetically.
- The Map of the East Coast is gone, It was too big, took too long to load, and made events bug if they were outlying too far from center.
- Map Title Screen script removed for now, but it did not go without reason.
- Players can now have up to 99 save slots.
- Many maps have seen small to significant redos, examples of small touch ups include Tristy's Attic (Verandah again), Tristy's House, Brisbane (only a little, sadly, until neo brisbane anyway.), Roof, Pep's Hovel, Rolly's Shelter, Tristy's Apartment, The Pacific Highway, Casino, Prison of the Frostlord, Prison of the Firelord (and the others too.), The Darkvoid, Spriteopia and The Necropolis. Significant Redos of maps include all stages of the Untai Shrine and Brisbane in Act 3, which I will let you take a look at, the game will end when you attempt to teleport up to the skybridge.
- 64 weapons now take the spotlight, but in truth, you'll only see 24 of them pre-1.2 (sorry!).
- Each character has a choice of two weapon types, based mostly on preference, since currently the mechanics for each weapon are practically the same.
- The Sleep, Shop and Explore commands are gone from the main menu, there are now inns and shops that dot the land and you can find your Galaxion Zipper post Maw's Defeat at departure island.
- In order to seal the above change, Tents no longer exist as an item.
- Trains, Buses and Monorails now dont all look like Buses, Monorails look like Monorails, Trains look like Trains and Buses look like Buses, obviously. (All modifications to Pineda's Bus sprite, seriously nothing will defeat that thing.)
- Many skills and some items have been renamed to feel less like they were pulled from Final Fantasy and more like I thought of them, hopefully.
- Limbo has been modified slightly, he now has two more skills to learn, and he has become unique because of the star on his shirt.
- All other Skeletopians now do not have a yellow star on their shirt.
- Choiceboxes have been redesigned to be less shitty and support waypoints.
- More polish and flavour text has been added around, its fun to do!
- Safiercat has been renamed Safael and his sprite has been updated to not look like a garrish piece of shit.
- Got rid of shitty singular resistance trinkets (Maw's essence, Pyro's essence etc.) and added four new ones with meaningful effects.
- New animations have been placed, most noticeably those from VX Ace.
- All VX Ace sound effects are now in the game, but are currently not all used because theres a lot of them.
- A lot of battle commands have been changed in name.
- New Battlebacks, ported from VX Ace and possibly modified by my own doing.
- Pyro got a new mechanic that is... well wait and see! He also now goes by turns instead of health, dont worry about killing him too quickly, it wont be a thing to worry about. (Unless you beat me at my own game. :P)
Characters:
All characters have a new skill at level 30, that they will be able to test out on Pyro.
Rolly
- His class has been redacted to Brawler. His abilties command is now 'Green Esteem!'.
- He can now choose either Fisticuffs or Ninja Stars for weapons.
Pep
- His Class is now called Demolionist. His abilties command is now 'Destruction!'.
- He can now choose either Rifles or Bombs for weapons.
Tristy
- She is still in the class of 'Cleric'. Her abilities command is now 'Transendance!'.
- She can choose either Staves or Boomerangs for weapons.
Limbo
- He is still a 'Guardian', his abilities command is now 'Party Fever!'.
- He can choose either Swords or Shields for weapons.
- He has two new abilities, Antematter Blast (Single target wrecking blast that is unreliable in hitting, but if it hits does 750 Damage and inflicts Burn, Blind and Silence.) and Death Storm (All target storm of death that inflicts death or does 500 damage to all opponents who are immune to such effects.)
Patch 1.1.6
General:
- Fixed a cosmetic issue in the scene where pep returns to the apartments and he missed the door by 4 steps, and so it looked odd.
- Fixed small bug that could be game-breaking if the player transferred back to Mallanganee after the necropolis training was complete, giving them a file missing error.
- Fixed the hang and odd Nature behind the falling Maw meteor in Tristy's flashback, it was caused by the unusual behavior of scrool map, and so now a player simply goes through, does what the scroll map would do, and then turns through off.
Patch 1.1.5
General:
- Fixed a load of bugs.
- Improved Training halls in Necropolis, you now only fight two of each monster rather than 4, the experience has been doubled per to make up for the loss of numbers.
- Reduced amount of Mawed Reapers from 4 to 2, yet again doubling there experience value to level it out, and adjusted the required kill count variable.
- The East Coast fusion map has dynamic weather.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed missing file error that was gamebreaking, and I'm really sorry about that. (Thanks for the heads up Amerke.)
- Did a full playthrough to make sure there were no more game-breaking bugs, which there now should not be.
- Fixed a few typos.
- Fixed an event in the starting area that would allow you to ascend the ladder before you were supposed to.
- Fixed a ton of smaller minor bugs.
Patch 1.1.4
General:
- Galaxia has been redone map wise, Galaxia is the first map of this game to use Parallax Mapping and (now that I have discovered how to do it) probably not the last.
- Two music Tracks have been added, one for the reprint of Galaxia and one for Poolington of Byteopia.
- New music track composed by RavenBlueIndigo, Purple Forest is now played in the Darkvoid, meeting its Green Forest counterpart in Spriteopia.
- Party Room now has a few Treasure Chests.
- A Fair few Hope maps redesigned to be better and more appealing. This change can be seen in the updated trailer.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed Transition from Party Room leading to the wrong map.
- Fixed Doom's Gameover Sequence failing to Initialize. Simple ID Change can do so much damage.
- Postmartia has been slightly adjusted so the tint of the Mail Turret firing is more suitable.
- Corrected a few bits of Polish.
- Loads of other imcomprehensible bugs.
Patch 1.1.0
General:
- Maw has been relinquished to the realm of non-existence. But his Death only fuels the five other Ancient Ones rage, shortly after the three adventurers defeat maw and start chilling, Pyro decides instead of going to them, he will wait patiently in his own Prison, deciding it is best if the so called slayers are the challenge he wishes for. He sends out a few minions in his stead to 'test' the so called heroes as well.
- This update will give you access to a Galaxion Cruiser once you have completed Act 1, once it is yours you will be able to ride through the universe and explore the worlds that never made it on the rpg maker, you can get a look at Galaxia, Spriteopia, Hope and Byteopia. There will also be more planets you can explore, but for now that remains a mystery.
- Once you have completed Act 1 and walk outside Tristy's house, you are greeted with the beautiful and unbeleivably large world map. which is more or less a seamless merge of all exterior earth areas with the exception of Departure Island and whatever other landmasses I created that aren't attached to the East coast of Australia. The gaps will be filled in with optional areas and shrines, theres also a never before seen ingame town; Ballina. A coastal port village with mostly residential housing. A new section of Brisbane has also been added, West Brisbane has a variety of differently shapes skyscrapers, to the south of this new area, is a road down to Casino, and a narrow forest path to a graveyard, when you go into the crypt, you enter the necropolis yet again, this will play into Limbo learning a new ability, as well as getting his Ultimate weapon. - Done.
- Changes to the A2 tileset and Tile E, The blood/bloodied sand is now replaced by snow and snowy grass, and tile E has been reorganised and a proper looking blood trail has been added to Tile E.
- The Necropolis has Been split up into five maps, basically abolishing any lag that may have existed therein.
- The End Credits are now skippable, and the interactivity has been scrapped.
- Spruced up The High Road and aquarium.
- Spruced up Gaseous, Final Room and Prison.
- Spruced up tons of other maps I've forgotten.

- New monsters are coming to the aquarium, big powerful ones.
- Many new monsters.
- All Final Fantasy music and sound effects are gone. and have been replaced by more fitting tracks.
- New music tracks have been added, as well. Feeling the scene has never been easier.
- An Hour and a Half of Linear content beyond Act 1.
- Atleast half an hour of content added prior to Act 2.
- Game Length increased to three and a half hours on my end, and I know how everything works, your mileage may vary.
- 6 new items, which permenantly boost your stats have been added, and look delicious enough to do their intended effect. - Done
- 35 new armour items, all accessories, all with a unique icon and picture.
- New equip system, now the only armour is accessories, and six of them can be equipped to provide optimal character customization.
- 4 stat boosting items that last temporarily, great for tough battles.
- Item Tooltips for every obtainable item, weapon, and accessory have been added.
Characters
Rolly
- Rolly has wandered the halls of the Necropolis, travelled the open void of space, taken breath into the lifeless planet of Gaseous, defeated an Ancient One, slain an immortal demigod, rescued his buddies on multiple occasions, eaten every dish known to man, walked around an entire state, been greeted as friends by the Guardian of the Universe, been resposible for the promotion of a Demigod, walked around with an undead partygoer and still he does not feel whole, but once he reaches level 20, all that changes, he learns to strike, like a Titan, the Titan Strike ability hits all opponents with moderate damage, and also decreases their defence by 50%, not only that, it increases the parties defence twofold. Now Rolly can defend his friends before the fire starts getting hot, and send the enemy to their unnailed graves before anything critical can become of anyone or anything he cares about.
Pep
- Countless times casting has given Pep quite a good array of new abilities, the newest of these, available at level 20, puts the nail in the coffin for any enemies in Pep's path, Elemental Fury allows Pep to grow and his brainpower increase, allowing to cast the spells, Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Water in that order on all enemies.
Tristy
- In most cases, Tristy is the healer, dedicated to keeping her party alive, though she was taught to use discipline only when absolutely nessecary, recent face offs with despicable foes have made Tristy aware that sometimes disciplinary measures are the ONLY way to solve a problem, and thus, she learned a decent offensive ability, that shadowed her other offensive abilities in power and righteousness, this ability, Rain of Stars, is like Zealotry, in that she jumps in the air, levitates and throws objects around at different things, thats where the similarities end, the holy stars are propelled at enemy targets, like a shower of heavenly justice, the stars... while doing a rather small amount of damage on their own, are thrown twelvefold, and the ability is quite devastating.
Limbo
Due to the loss of his broken and buggy ability, Dark Sacrifice in 1.0, Limbo will now be taught two new abilites.
- Angel of Death: Attempts to inflict death on the target, if the target is unaffected, it will do damage instead.
- Summon Necropolis: At level 20, The Grim Reaper gives Limbo the power to summon the necropolis to the players location.

- YEM Item Overhaul and YEM Equipment overhaul have been removed due to causing crashes and Windows Errors.

Nesmose now only kills one party member instead of two with his turn 3 combo.
Nesmose's Terra-Graviton Spell has been down ranked to Gravitos.
Nesmose's Level and Stats have been altered to be a challange to players level six and seven.
Due to the number of Necropolis monsters being cut in half, a new mob has emerged outside the necropolis.
Bug Fixes:
The Ratwring's battler was too big and has been reduced in size. (thought this no longer features as a monster.)
Rolly no longer displays briefly before the opening.
Timeline has been altered to not seem so unrealistic.
Certain things have been explained which a few reviewer's could not understand.
Music tracks have been changed around a bit to better reflect situation.
Patch 0.1.0
General:
Released Demo for Public review.
Spoiler:
So your cries have been heard, and like the banana laden little twat I am I have decided to answer your cries and give you a game that isn't forced to look like shit.

Music is better too, there's no WoW music anymore, if that means anything, it should.

None of the Music or sound effects are mine save for 3 lines of Tristy voice acting, yeah it sounds horrible, do I care? Nope. Oh yeah, and one of Pep's in which he promptly flips the one at the receiving end of his vocal anomalies in a really shitty put on london accent. Its pretty amusing though because I bleep out the bad word.

It takes me about 3 hours and 30 minutes to finish this beginning to end, but I know how everything works. Your mileage may vary. On average people have recorded about 5-6 hours to finish.

If I missed crediting anyone please do say so, so I may add their name to the list.

The game is open source now, not like that means anything. (asides from the fact you can help me out with bugfixing and typos. xB)

This is a Non-commercial Project, and I am distributing it freely so the community can get enjoyment out of it.

Please do not redistribute, or post on another forum, if you wish to post it on another forum, let me know, so I can keep a watch on the Topic.

If your kid starts stealing fish or painting their pets
weird colors, it isn't my fault, honest!

You should tell them to stop smoking so much damn weed
or watching so many cartoons, Like Sam the bunny or
Courage the cowardly dog(well actually no, doggone that
because that show is the bees knees) or scooby doo or
whatever popular kids show showcases odd coloured animals
nowadays, I wouldn't know!

Or just tell them their pets will die if they color them
blue, or green or orange or whatever the hell.

Oh god what am I even saying, look, I'm sorry if your kid
painted his cat pink or whatever, but sorry is the extent
of my empathy towards your oddball household pal.

I'm not taking responsibility for shitty parenting
or your kid being an idiot, no offense!

Well the concept is interesting, although it might put off a lot of people because there are cute fuzzy things that talk in ALL CAPS and the game name is Intelligence.
An intelligence game is usually one which requires your mind to think and solve puzzles, problems, or recall information; I'm not convinced this game does so.

Also, I'm not sure what makes this game fun. Like is there any part of this game that makes it different from the usual RPG in gameplay wise?

So probably, its better to change the title of the game and go in a different direction than go along with the name "Intelligence". It sounds like this game is mostly
about the main characters, who are cute animals, rather than Intelligence.

Thank you for the small and misinformed review. You clearly haven't played the game.

And what am i supposed to call it, Fuzzy creatures grow intellect? world is better? Attack of the adorable munchkins from outer space (I would have called it this one if a neopets game hadn't taken the concept. Not to mention the title screen is already done and It does tie into the plot, just not much else, you are right, it doesn't have puzzles, (at least not many) and for the rest of you who go to complain about names I encourage you to read this again. "Beta is beta" No that isn't what I said, just similar to it. I will get more features and likely add more scripts, but not if people judge a book by its cover instead of playing the game.

I will think on a better title. and the comedy does need to improve, at the moment I'm am trying to accomplish comedy but my brain keeps commanding the rest of my body to go for epic, so its a clash between the two and I can see problems with my own design, the game is crazy, the characters are wacky and 2 dimensional (except maybe Pep) and it is fun, you know, "fun"? the thing we had before games turned into a second job? (I'm referring to Western MMO's), play a game before you judge it by its title or think the graphics suck(I'm looking at you Ladyatlas).

And NO they do not talk in all caps, only the main villain does that, that is simply the font I use. Futured and if you looked at the last screenshot you will see that there is a discernible difference in size, look properly at a thread before you accuse me of all caps, It's a font that is all uppercase, but the Uppercase letters are bigger than lower case.

(Note that I do not hold any hatred for Ladyatlas and she is a constructive reviewer, she said a lot of good things about my other game, I love you all but I am getting sick of being pushed around.)

Offtopic: "Needs Photoshop for dummies." I know exactly how you feel. I have a problem with photo shop also, can't figure it out.

THAT would explain it. So very well. Because that is exactly what I did.

So basically you intentionally made this game so I would attack it?...
I mean I'm arrogant and what not, but this is just feels to be pointless to argue. If I win I get nothing. If I lose, then you feel better?

Sure, I could argue, but unlike the sexist language post, this is something that is pointless to argue. But nevertheless, you do have points. However, I will only list them for the sake of being fair. Unless you can prove to me this point is actually worthwhile to argue over, I won't even touch on it.

Your arguments
- You clearly haven't played the game
- What am I supposed to call this game other than intelligence?
- My game is fun
- They don't talk in ALL CAPS; well, not always.

Btw, most smart people, genius, or however smart they think they are -- are arrogant. It is a fact of nature that as a person gets smarter, they become more arrogant. I just feel your looking to start a fight, not trying to defend something. Not worthwhile for me to argue, unless you wanna wanna argue for the sake of argument (for fun smile.gif). If you clearly want to fight, or can prove to me this is worth arguing over... then lets rock. If not, I'm out of here.

Wow, you're a complete idiot. Your logic is possibly the most retarded load of bullshit I have ever heard, and this is in comparison to newgrounds and youtube comments. All hail you, for being the stupidest person I know.

Also, I never said I was intelligent, that is only your assumption, but I can tell you this, you are likely the biggest moron I've ever encountered, which would put you at the level of annoying kindergarten piss ant.

Next time you feel the urge to post something stupid, please think if it could end up biting you in the ass, because apparently, you've displayed a lack of thinking thus far.

And my god, do you honestly think I would make a game just so you would be spurred on to attack it, how self-centered do you even have to be to think something like that. The fact is I can easily piss you off, I wouldn't have to make an entire game to do it either. Seeing as I lay waste to chumps on youtube it would be a waste of time to even bother with someone with a mental handicap who is also a male feminist for some really dumb reason.

I am sorry for my harsh response, I hadn't had any sleep in the the last two days (48 hours) from when I replied to a review that I thought was rude (tired I was, you were just speaking your mind) and I apologize. Being Tired is not an excuse for how ridiculously I acted.

And I did actually say I didn't hate you, I was just arguing for the sake of it, but I was harsh and after my last games being ground into dust before reviewers had played over 10 minutes i thought this was a more extreme version of that thus i acted swiftly and without remorse.

If you don't wish to play the game, that is okay, But i encourage you to try it for 6 minutes or so. You might find a bug I havent yet.

They call me Bizarre Monkey for a reason, I don't mean to bring up bad name meanings, But i can go from happy and joyul one moment to a trailer park of evl the next. Try not to take anything I say too seriously.

Arguing for the sake of arguing is not a just reason to fight. You didn't say clearly say you want to fight. I'm not persuaded.

Thankfully it's all been sorted now.

Back on topic, I made this game to get renown and also show there are still original Ideas, to teach the world that games, however many ideas have been taken, can have brand new characters and stories like never seen before. and feel like a whole new mindset.

With my Incredibly Bizarre mind, I might just accomplish this.

Also, Pine I didn't see your last 2 Posts when I typed out my last one, thus why there are inconsistencies.

Yay! Thank you for your kind reply!

I wasn't going to mention this till I was done, but a few bugfixes are being done as I speak. None of them game-breaking.

Just small things that I will reveal with the patch notes. If you have already downloaded the game, there's not much point getting the next version.

I've already given you most of my feedback, but I'll just put a generalized bit of a review here in a spoiler for those who haven't played it yet.

Spoiler:

Pros:
- Original characters and theme.
- Lot of humor and pop culture references to keep the player entertained.
- Good variety of skills.
- Thought put into battles and boss fights. It's not just stand there and mash attack until you win.
- No game breaking bugs.

Cons:
- It's difficult to reconcile the comedic nature of the characters with the seriousness and semi-political and environmental overtones of the main plot. If this is meant to be a comedy game, this is less important, but maybe something to look at.
- Take away the pop culture references and the characters are somewhat bland. Granted, you can't really convey much character development in an hour long demo, but thus far there doesn't seem to be anything to develop -from-.
- The arrows on the ground. This is personal preference maybe, but I don't much like being led around by the nose.
- Many of the music tracks, while fine by themselves, don't fit the situation they're played in. Movie trailer music playing in the background while a kangaroo scampers around a field is... well...
- Some maps are aimless. The Necropolis is guilty of this, where if you don't follow the arrow, you can end up walking literally for 30 seconds in a random direction without the map coming to an end.

Overall, the game is a 6-7/10, I'll go with 7 simply because I finished the demo, and you're trying to do something different, which is always good =)

Thank you for posting your review here, if anyone doesn't know, Cryblue is one of my friends on the IRC, he tested this willingly and he will be in the Beta-Tester and Review Credits when the Next Patch is Deployed.

Spoiler:
QUOTE
- The arrows on the ground. This is personal preference maybe, but I don't much like being led around by the nose.

This is a very controversial thing, my last game someone complained about having no guide to direct them, it's very hard to please everyone, and unless a lot of people complain about it, I don't intend on changing it. Like you said, it's personal preference, and the arrows do help when navigating the Necropolis which leads us to the next Con.

QUOTE

The Necropolis is (I agree) very guilty of this because it isn't finished yet, and many, many areas do not have Polish.

QUOTE

This is meant to be a comedy, but my poor brain still hasn't redeveloped from Terra. I'm trying to go for Epic and Comedy at once, while this can be done, I can still try to cut some of the Fat off the text walls.

QUOTE

This is my fault, I can't stop my body trying to do epic for some reason when I was trying to do a comedic game. I will work on this and see what I can do.

QUOTE

What movie trailer has that music? that is Night Elf Theme 5 from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. But it is outdated because you used to fight monsters on the way. But More Heelfoxes laying around would have probably just ticked people off, I will change the music, I did want it to sound like a Panic theme. But this track doesn't cut it.

Good, that is exactly what I wanted to accomplish.

I'm very happy with this rating, some people may not be but this is almost double my last game's rating, and I spent 3 months on this when comparing to 5 years. It is a milestone for me.

You know what this means? I am learning! And quickly too.

Cryblue, thank you so much for doing a review that is more than first appearances, all the bugs you discovered will be fixed in the next version.

Here is my review! I hope it is helpful in some way! happy.gif
(Sorry if you see any misspelled words, It's kinda late and I'm off to bed now) ♫

..::Originality: 7 out of 10::..

I like how the main heroes are animals. It's definitely different from the norm. I like the idea that you drew your
own portraits because it gives the game character (Though the one red cat looks like a scary squirrel, lol). The items are
also very different and unique and I like that. The radioactive truffles--all of it. Very original.
The story about the destruction man introduces to the environment has been done before, as well as mankind going out into
the universe to find a new planet home, which is why I only gave it a 7 out 10. Overall, it's still not a bad concept to
work with.

..::Story: 6 out of 10::..

The story still very much seems like it is in the rough draft stage--which is okay, because it is the beta game. It has
a good start. The story itself seems to be a mix of "this is the world after nuclear Armageddon" meets "Fellowship to save
the World," only with animals. It's a fun idea, and I take it from the nature of the game that you intended for it to be
a bit more light hearted. It also has some dark undertones to it, almost a little creepy in some aspects. I think that
the time between humans leaving the planet and the time when animals learn to talk and take over human roles is a little
short (two years, was it?) That's some fast developing without alternative explanation as to how. It is a little confusing
sometimes when your characters speak to the player or to the game creator, especially when the game creator answers before
the last big boss battle. It only took me a moment to figure it out, but for that instant it pulled me from the story.

..::Gameplay: 5 out of 10::..

I would have enjoyed to play a mini game where the cat vendor was selling fresh fish. At first, I thought it was going to
be some sort of mini game where the cat vender is walking around and you have to take the food without being seen. I just
thought that would be a fun idea. I like the green arrows that point in the correct direction. The training area is a bit
slow, however. After about the third or fourth room it seemed a little repetitive. I love the teleportation things on the
ground. They were fun to use and it was fun exploring that toxic-like world you wake up to after your first boss battle
with Maw. The voice acting was fun to hear.

..::Graphics: 7 out of 10::..

As far as the visual appeal of the game, it looked nice and definitely very...toxic (in reference to all the green, glowing,
and metal things). Again, I like how you made your own battlers. The game graphics like the explosion and the ships were
a good touch as well. I really liked them. However, so that you don't see Rolly when you click new game, I would initially
start the game with Rolly having no graphic. Then, when you're ready to use him, go to an event and change his graphic to
the dog, that way you don't see him for the brief moment when the game starts.

..::So-Far Overall: 7 out of 10::..

Overall, it is obvious that a lot of work went into making this beta game. While it is apparent that there is still a lot
of work to go, as well as perhaps some polishing needed here and there, I think this will turn out well if you stick to it.
Good luck on continuing to develop your game! I will be waiting for more!

I had a feeling this was coming :D

The reason for this is I saw you on my thread because, being me, i monitor it like a hawk, a couple days ago.

This review is very well written and it lets me know what i need to correct, it is also very good that a friend can be honest. :D

I will be delaying the game a wee bit longer, mainly to fix the evolution time (because that is very corny) and I probably will mix the plot up a bit to make it more interesting, the plot I had come up with i had not seen much before. But You probably have a LOT more experience than me so I will change the plot a whee bit.

This was originally my intention, but it had some issues back before I deleted the shift roll thing. I will implement it back now.

I wish I had actually thought of that, I am going to implement that with the next build, because that is the best idea ever!

QUOTE

I knew I was taking a risk when I implemented that.

I will make it 6 rooms max and make the boos lower level.

QUOTE

I should have realized that when I was doing that drawing, but it was 9 years ago I drew the outline for that model.

Spoiler:

Would you prefer something along the lines of that? I chose the model with the Grinning tooth and squirrel tail because it gave him a lot of charm. Despite him being creepy.

I wont be changing the model this patch, but if enough people request it I will, for sure do it next time.

QUOTE

Yeah, I have said it before, I do stories as I go along, and fix them up later, that's why it seems a little unfinished.

QUOTE
"this is the world after nuclear Armageddon"

I'm not sure where you got that idea, but here, I will re-iterate.

The "Old ones" fled the Planet because of the evil Entity (the Blue face), and left the Animals to his wrath.

The animals imprison him though. but the "Old Ones" are settled on their new Planet and decide to leave the world's Destiny up to them.

You know what happens from then on, so this is more like a mix of "Humans flee terrible evil" meets "Forced to save the world".

I will also take time to note that the Heroes do not choose this path, they have no choice, as otherwise they would stay in the necropolis. (I will explain this a little better in game.)

This is a good thing because chosen one plots are incredibly common and cliche, I don't like using chosen one plots. I learned that mistake from my first game.

To finish off:

Thank you for the review, I am glad to have a friend take the time to have a decent look, and write the longest review I've ever had. You will be added to the Special thanks list in honour of your deeds, which include helping me improve the game and be honest about it. If you had given me 9 out of 10 I would have found it slightly unbelievable. But you do what a Good friend should do and gave me your honest Opinion, I am also going to have mobs have a little less HP, right now I have had a few people say battles are a bit... too long, and pointed out that when multiple enemies start being encountered, the player is not going to get enjoyment out of it.

Thank you all of you who gave me support and I will strive to make this game my greatest accomplishment to date. :)
