you could make a video for your title screen to see how it moves.. im getting excited what the title BGM would be
I think your anime style portraits would be better than using RTP style Thinking about it, an animated version of your recruitment bar would be better in the title screen -------------------- |

Yeah. ;v; She was such a kind character ♥ Ahah it's really nothing special; just the characters in their stepping animation, moving clouds and a couple of falling autumn leaves (': And that's about it haha! It's still subject to change though.. @Hanzo Kimura Thank you so much sir! ^^ @new (edit: haha, this is embarassing ^^; I forgot this was an english forum, so if you've already read the original I'mma translate it out..) It's not much, just some Stepping Animation. And so far I'm still looking for a composer to create the title BGM, but hopefully soon enough we're going to have one already! And I use OriginalWij's, hehe. And thank you! The faces are going to be replaced with original art + expressions woo! oh my god my attention span~ /shotshot If I can, I'd love to transform the sig bar into an animated title hehe! I actually really liked the old one... ;A;
The RTP tiles (especially the trees) aren't really in proportion to those giant sprites... have you checked out Mack's tiles, or considered parallax mapping? I'd also recommend checking out the Order of the Marten's maps - they also are using Loose Leaf's sprite base, so they match quite nicely. c: |

Yeah, I think I might prefer the original a bit better as well. Maybe if you were to add more scenery to the original, like flowers and such, it wuld look a bit nicer
And no offense, but I'm kinda sick of the standard RTP tilesets.. The orginal pic looks a bit more.... well, original! -------------------- |

the oldie is a way lot better. there are other plant tiles besides the default cabbage, turnip, and red thing. i forgot where they are in the resource thread but they exist. with your skill you could always make new tileset for crops
you need to have a big plot of land to plow. you need a stable, then the bin box, a green house, an apple tree, a pond, a chicken coop. a dog, a horse, a mailbox. at the beginning each plot is fixed - emtpy, weed, branch, stump, rock, boulder. you get level up tools to be able to take down the stump and boulder. you need to have a custom sprite animation - like the ralph digging or the ralph riding a horse - when they use the tools - hoe, scythe, hammer, sprinkle, axe, and all. weeds, branches, are found at random on empty plots. the number of rocks are fixed since they can be used as fences. oh you need two other buildings - the log storage and hay storage. you also need a river where you fetch a pail of water. -------------------- |

What if we used the new map but changed the tiles and heights, etc and also made the map bigger; we were planning on making it bigger but a different map for each area, or something. Should it be one big map or individual maps? :3

one big map is better. the new one from the screenshot is too small. and having a fence around it is weird on how it is arranged. if i remember correctly, the seeds in harvest moon are on a 3x3 tile. if you want things simpler just use show picture, instead of making them character events.
i think it'd be okay to follow the HM farm format. the farm really needs to have a big plot not just a backyard size. This post has been edited by new: May 7 2011, 02:08 AM -------------------- |
