I'm trying to make a short cinematic sequence where a character is walking up a map, and shortly after another character (event NPC) joins him. But I want them to walk slowly, and when the event first starts up, with a command of: Set Move Route: Change Freq. : 4, Change Speed: 1, Move Up, Move Up, Move Up, etc. but the player, who is the person this move route applies to, their speed doesn't change, they walk up the map normal speed, and I can't seem to fix it.

You have to select and change the player speed as well. Same as the NPC.

Make another move route for (Player) and another move route for (NPC). Are you sure you made them both?

![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us As for the number of events, I have an Anti-Lag script so they're nothing to worry about. As for my problem, I'm sure it must be a simple mistake? EDIT: It turns out that any other event commands relating to changing the speed of the main player, doesn't work. Could this have to do with my diagonal movement script? Uh, bump? Not sure if I can do that... but I really need help because this is prohibiting me from continuing my game :S
I found out the script that edits the default speed is the KGC diagonal movement script. I tried to remove that script, and try the event, and it still doesn't work. I'm not sure what it is. I really need some help here because it's ruining my progress :| |

72 hours before bumps. I tested what you have there and it works fine for me. So, that means it is probably something you changed or another script.

I just tried removing each script one at a time to see if it did anything... nothing changed, still no character speed change. This is really weird and I don't get what's going on. The only speed modification was in the KGC Diagonal Movement script, and the speed STILL doesn't change if I take that script out.
If anyone thinks they could check out my project file and look for the problem, feel free to let me now. I'll do that if that's what it takes. |

Have you made any script changes in the default scripts?
Either way, uploading your project file will also work. |

The only editing I remember doing to default scripts was so I could erase most of the menu screen, and I edited the gold window to turn it into something else, but that's it. If I'm going to upload my project file, I'll PM the link since I don't want everyone to see it. I'll send it to you. |
