Hey! Welcome to my tutorial on how to create waterfalls that fade to black (originally created for Railkune.) So instead of making some long introduction, how about we just get on to the tutorial

1) Images

You'll need to download this image:
Name it $blacktile
Import that into your characters folder

2) Make your waterfall

This step is self explanitory. Just create a waterfall, like so:

3) Add fade

This part is pretty simple. First, I'll show you what this will end up looking like in editor:

Lot of events right? Don't worry they won't cause lag, and you probably won't need that many anyways (depending on what the waterfall looks like)
Lets start with the top row of events (you can decide where you want the fade to begin). All that you put in the event is the graphic from the black tile I gave you in step 1 and put it on parallel process, then put set move route for this event, change opacity: 50. Go down a tile, and do the same thing except change the opacity to 100, and continue doing so (at whatever increments you want) until the bottom. IMPORTANT. You may have noticed I also have a row of events below the waterfall. This is because the bottom part of the waterfall will be slightly exposed at full opacity if you don't. You don't have to increase your opacity all the way to 255 by the bottom, but just make it close. And then copy and paste these along your waterfalls and you're done
