I'm looking for 2 scripts, if anyone would like to help me out.

First: I'm looking for a script that shows a mini map in the top right corner of the sceen.
Like the one in Aerendyll's "Walking the Plank"

Second: I'm looking for a script that shows the name of the area you just entered when you enter into an area.
Like the one in Ashvir's "Lost Heaven"

If you have played Lost Heaven, you have the script, since it authors were kind and generous enough to include the unencrypted code.

To input them? You mean put them into your game?

I'll help.

First, when your in your game maker project, hit f11.

This screen should pop up.



Then scroll to the bottom. You should see two areas called "Materials" and "Main"



When someone says to put a script "Above Main", it means to put into the materials section, which would be under the line that says "Materials"

you may not but you must give the credit to the author of the script.

For anyone copying the script that neclords put up, make sure you put a "#" in the first line, or else you'll
get a Syntax error when running your game, just a heads up for anyone reading this thread.

You could instead put =begin at the top then put =end just after the final text line and the script should still work fine. I believe that to be easier then constantly putting in the #'s xPP You can also take your own notes easily this way.

If I apparently am wrong and these two functions are actually doing something else to the script at the same time, please correct me.

Not scripting, Eventing.
Treasure Chests, Just right click while on event mode and do Quick event, Chest.
