The official Let's Play topic

What is a Let's Play? A Let's Play is usually a video (it can also be written with the aid of screenshots) of someone playing a game and giving commentary about it. They are different from walkthroughs in that the LP'er is just playing the game for fun and giving commentary, and while it could be considered as a walkthrough, it is not advisable to think of it as such (i.e. the player makes plenty of mistakes).

This thread is meant to give a place for LP'ers to post their videos, or for people requesting a LP be made of their game. So you can post in here for someone to make a LP of a game (it doesn't have to yours, it just has to be made with RPG Maker), and anyone else can pick up that suggestion and start playing.


The rules:
1. You can only suggest/make a LP of RPG Maker games (any version).
2. Anyone can suggest a game.
3. Anyone can take up on this offer and start making a LP.
4. LPs are not an invitation to bash the game for no reason.
5. LPs must contain commentary.
6. Please do not repeat a suggestion, or whine about how no one picked yours yet.
7. You can post the LP in parts/episodes, it's up to you.
8. Try to post your LPs in only one post so it's easier to track.
9. If an episode of the LP is done, please post the video in this thread (either as a link to the video, or the video itself). I suggest uploading it to YouTube (15 min timelimit, or none at all), and then using this code:

Ah, cool an LP topic. I'll post all of mine here as I finish them. I guess I'll use this post as a home base and just duplicate my other post from the General forum.

I do LP's of RPG Maker games. I'm sure it's been done before, possibly even done better, but I doubt very seriously that it's been done more efficiently. What all aspiring game developers desire is feedback on their games. Some of the best feedback anyone can receive is watching their game played in real time, seeing how people tackle and undergo the challenges and adventures you've set forth. I've been an LPer for a little over two years. My last youtube channel, like many other LPers, was unfairly shut down for 'copyright infringement', but that's neither here nor there. I've become disenchanted and bored with commercially released games, so I'm turning to the Indie community in an effort to help the next wave of designers craft their games.

I've done a game called Razor Sharp Moon which I picked randomly from this site, as well as two requests called Dungeon Champion and Fiery, the latter also being on the site. I LP Monday-Friday, and I generally put out 45-60 minutes per day. This means that if you have a 4-5 hour demo, it is very likely I will be able to finish it in a week. I have nothing in my queue at the moment.

I've been told that I'm entertaining. I put a lot of effort into what I do, both technically and in terms of content. If you have a game or demo you'd like to see played and critiqued, or simply wish for some lighthearted entertainment, please feel free to check out my channel, respond here, or send me a PM on youtube.

This is just the Chapter 1 Demo, which is about 2 hours. Chapter 2 is coming in the future, so if someone LP's this, they may want to LP that in the future as well
Also, if you're talking during the LP, I would suggest the Non-VA version

I'll try, but the problem is, I've done/will do requests from people who may have a game on this forum, but didn't necessarily make the request to have it played on the forum. Dungeon Champion and Fiery, for example, were both requested directly via Youtube, and Razor Sharp Moon was the first game I did, which I essentially picked at random with permission from the creator.

I'll edit my post to make it a bit more like the form though.

Much better Unmaker. The forms are just there to supply the information, if no one requested it but you did it anyway, then just leave that part out.

@Chaike: anyone is free to take one up, even if multiple people are already doing the same thing.

I approve of this topic. But I do have a question.

1. You can only suggest/make a LP of RPG Maker games (any version).

Any version as in ANY version? There's more than just RMXP and RMVX. There's also the RPGMs on the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, which I also cover.

Also, I do not plan on doing LPs made with the illegal makers (not unless someone can prove they own them legit), but out of curiosity, are they also included?

Yes ... any version.

You can do whatever you want, if you don't want to do LPs on certain games, then be my guest. No one is forcing you to. Plus there's no way to tell people are using illegal versions unless it's one of those translated versions.

Glad you are enjoying it. What do you think I can work on?
Ahaha I don't have perfect grammar, but when I see visible errors I like to point them out. Especially cause yours was a demo so I was trying to help you out.
