Note: I, Hyde, did not make this script, nor did I take any part in it's creation other than requesting it in the request section. I was asked by SowS personally to create this thread. SowS is very busy and asked for my help in posting this. Do not credit me if you use this. DO credit SowS for all of the greatness found in this script.


Introduction:

Have you ever played a game similar to the Monster Rancher series or even one of the Dragon Quest Monster games? I'm sure you have, they are very popular. Each of these games feature a very intricate breeding system in which you combine two monsters to make a newer, and sometimes more powerful monster to raise. If you are anything like me, you may have stared at your RMVX system and wished that you could create a game that featured a breeding system similar. Well, now is your chance.

Features:
Provides a fully functional breeding system to RMVX.
You can combine two actors to create a new actor.
Offspring are chosen by two categories: By family/type and by specific actors.
Family/Types are set up in the database as Classes while monsters are set up as Actors.
Can set up different combinations by allowing primary and secondary monsters during breeding.

Final Note:
Remember, I did not make this script, I am just bringing it to all of you. This script is not a huge priority for SowS, but if you find any bugs, I will make sure he gets them. Post any bug reports here.

Hm. This is interesting... One could really do a lot with this, but it'd certainly take quite a long time haha. I might look into using this thoug.

A few questions if anyone might be able to help...

I put the script into the insert script area, but I'm not able to find this in my rpg maker database or anywhere. Is there a certain place this shows up?

Sorry, scripts only show up in-game. The only way to set up breeding would be through the script itself. Go to where you inserted the script and adjust the top customization module within the script to fit your game.

Quick questions:
1. The script doesn't add the new actor for me--it just takes the two parents out. How do I fix this?
2. How do I make it that there's a level requirement for fusing? Say, level ten?
3. I can't figure out how to customize the fusing charts. How do I fiddle with the recipes?
4. I don't want fusing failures. How can I turn off the "Breeding Failure" error?

This is great work! I've been dying to make a DWM sim for forever, and this finally puts me towards that goal! Kudos, SowS!
