This was a pretty good year for metal. I didn't really bother with non-metal stuff this year. So here are my favs of the year (in no particular order):
-Disma - Towards the Megalith (Death Metal) -Vader - Welcome to the Morbid Reich (Death Metal) -Septicflesh - The Great Mass (Symphonic Death Metal) -Primordial - Redemption at the Puritan's Hand (Celtic/Folk Metal) -Lock Up - Necropolis Transparent (Deathgrind) -Hell - Human Remains (Heavy Metal) -Stinger - Stinger EP (Heavy Metal) -Arkham Witch - On Crom's Mountain (Heavy/Doom Metal) And others I can't remember right now. ![]() Hello, my sweet lil' honey bee. ![]() Type: Designer Alignment: Chaotic Good |
Hm...
Mastodon - The Hunter Electric Six - Heartbeats and Brainwaves Foo Fighters - Wasting Light Justice - Audio, Video, Disco Arctic Monkeys - Suck it and See The Black Keys - El Camino Foster the People - Torches Cage the Elephant - Thank You, jolly Birthday (I see someone changed Hap py to jolly) Dirty Vegas - Electric Love ...and I think that's it. There's also quite a few albums that I was sorely disappointed in, but that's for another topic. This post has been edited by Confederacy: Dec 30 2011, 12:09 AM -------------------- |

"Make A Scene" by Sophie Ellis-Bextor
"Ceremonials" by Florence & The Machine "Gravity Happens" by Kate Voegele And that's pretty much it. I'm kind of sporadic with music so I tend to discover stuff long after it was actually released. |

Attile - Outlawed (Deathcore/Party Metal) (too hard to put a genre label on this band)
I have to say that was the only album of 2011 I thoroughly enjoyed... all the good bands are circling the drain now... mainly All Shall Perish who was once my favorite band and who's new cd is total garbage I wish I had never bought. -------------------- |

I just hope that the Guradian is now going to pay attention to the silent majority of its readers who are big X Factor fans and tailor their music and entertainment coverage accordingly.
Yes, because vacuous, inane shite like X Factor doesn't get a look-in when it comes to mainstream media coverage, does it. Marketing Agencies This post has been edited by mackenzie41: Jan 17 2013, 04:00 PM |
