I am hoping they are just sooo into it right now. I can say one thing this one deffintly makes me want to go and revamp everything. This is perhaps one of the best looking game out there. Even using VS stuff, they made it look better and more interesting. It's kinda of funny though, alot of their scripts I have, and been using for a long time, so I feel good about that. We even edited them almost the same. XD

I think people don't seem to understand final fantasy, I've played about 4 of them and it is tradition for a Final Fantasy game to have absolutley nothing to do with the previous title, Every new final fantasy is a completley new story! So people should stop with the "change the title", its a good title, and if he wants to keep it he can keep it! Anyways, great game, hope it really isn't dead!

-I am glad someone is actually using the VS stuff, but does VS actually mean death to any project that uses it? The parallax mapping here inspired me enough to go back and revamp some stuff. That is true: Many of the Final Fantasies have nothing in common in regards to the storyline. What makes Final Fantasy a tademark franchise in games is the setting and the reoccurring themes that you will find exclusively in Final Fantasy. This game has many Final Fantasy elements in it, yet the game has nothing to do with Final Fantasy. Whut? In a screenshot of techniques, there are moves named after highly prominent Final Fantasy summons. In the last screenshot, there is a black mage sprite. Shoot, there is even a picture of a moogle in another screenshot! What I am saying is, if you don't want people to affiliate your game with Final Fantasy, keep Final Fantasy elements out of it. People won't assume it is a Final Fantasy-esque game if it doesn't contain many of the representations that go along with FF. Not that many people still wouldn't play it, but if you were to look at the screenshots before reading anything, you would definitely think it was another Final Fantasy set fan-game. -------------------- My Project  I Support Spoiler: |

Looking through the OP, I've got to say this is easily one of the best Rpg Maker Games, that I've seen.
Everything is executed beautifully, and the graphics are just exquisite. However, you say "Final Fantasy is only the inspiration for this project; please forgive if me if my game doesn't follow the story-line of a real final fantasy game because I've never actually played one Thanks guys, I'd love your feedback." So why make it a Final Fantasy Game? Surely, something of this calibre deserves to be a standalone title, rather then a franchises name? IMO, how it's called Final Fantasy A6 - Cathasis, when you haven't played a Final Fantasy Game, to get inspiration from is beyond me.. Other then that, it looks brilliant, keep up the good work! |
