It's well known that the VX Mode7 script (http://www.rpgmakervx.net/index.php?showtopic=8292) cannot display upright sprites, only flat map. I tried to find a workaround for that by making all upright map objects (trees, mountains, towers, huts) events with sprite graphics. It worked, but resulted in a huge slowdown because of a hell of a lot of events. I tried the Anamei AntiLag (http://anamei.net/files/AntiLag.zip), and it worked, looked cool, except for a weird bug.
The AntiLag script works this way: it stops processing of any event far enough from the player. But in Mode7, these stopped events start moving with the player, mimicking the player's movement, until they form a "box" around him. If this bug could be removed, some really cool looking pseudo-3d maps could be done in RMVX. Please help me find what's wrong and write a snippet that fixes the "box bug". |
