I think that XP, VX, and VX Ace are all fine works of art (software development, especially a piece of software meant to encompass many thousands of creative minds with one tool is most definitely an art)... however, it always tends to be good to discuss and debate on the core "missing" features that most definitely should have been apart of the RPG Maker software since the start.

I am wondering what features you believe should have always been apart of the engine? Keeping in mind that the features you request may make sense for your own games but not for the community as a whole (and thus doesn't make much sense as a core feature but only as a scripted featured via Ruby).
