Hello everyone. I'm new to the whole RPG MAKER phenomenon and I can say that I have no clue as to what I'm doing when it comes to scripting and all of that. I'm well aware of how things work in the program, and basics are fun, but I really do want to try out new scripts (both from other people and maybe in the future, from myself). Just as a starting question... if nobody minds, that is.. How am I able to try out new scripts? I saw one like "Sideview" or an enhanced version of the basic battle system (I forgot the name), but all ended with errors that I had no idea how to resolve.

Other than those custom scripts, I am very happy with this program and can't wait to make games.

Anyways welcome to what is left on RPG Maker VX and have a safe trip as well a answer to your question.

That is simple and easy. There is a Script Editor program in the RPG Maker VX. When you open RPG Maker VX go to Tools > Script Editor then make sure to copy the Script you want and place it in the long list of script. In simple form copy the script, go to the Script Editor, go down to "Material" (Unless the script say to put it somewhere else but the default is under "Material") right click in a spot under there and click "Insert" then move your mouse to the box on the left, right click and paste the script. If you want a better lesson I can take pictures.
