Hello ladys and gents.
Im in a bit of a pickle trying to make a decent chase scene. Basicly i have set up a room with a monster in it that will chase the player (useing basic approch player) and cause a gameover when it touches them (useing the event touch trigger) the only probblem is as im sure you all know the following A.I. in VX isnt all that smart and my event keeps getting stuck behind objects/walls which kind of kills the sense of fear a bit. Iv tried setting my event to be able to walk through objects and events but this is buggy and can cause the event to be litraly standing ontop of the player and not triggering the gameover (see screenshots).
The RPG Maker XP game Ao Oni (Link to a video of the game at bottom of request for refrance) featured an enemy which would walk around objects and chase you from map to map (Thats a diffrent can of worms i know but if anyone knows how to do that via a script insteed of millions of events id be thankful) so basicly if anyone knows how they made the event smart enough to know to do that id love to know.
TL:DR I need a event which chases my player but isnt a dumbass about it and actaly walks around objects insted of trying to walk right throught them.
