I cant believe this waasn't fixed yet. You can edit it yourself, just replace "Ralph" with "\n[1]" This post has been edited by The Puzzle Dude: Aug 26 2011, 11:29 AM -------------------- I moved to VX ACE and their forums

WOW, that is so AWSOME!!! Learned so much about rpg maker, thanks bro... Ainda is a girl, not a boy To Ainda. (EDITED) I found a bug. In the SHOP AND ITEMS ROOM ON F2, you cant read the note. It is set to below character insted of same as character, and it's on a wall, therefor, imposible to read it. I started up Practice Events but a message popped up saying "Player start location not set" and the game closed down.

They're called practice events for a reason; you need to adjust them so they work.
The game can't start unless the player has been given a starting position on a map. Right click anywhere on a map, and select Set as Starting Position > Player. |

The thing is, I don't know which map is the starting point of the game. :/ -------------------- I support :

Database > System > Starting position
That's where you can see where the starting position is of the player. But if you're getting that error, it means the player hasn't been given one. There is no 'wrong location' for setting the player's starting position. It can be any map, though I've personally never done the practice events and they might you want to start out in a specific room. |

I was wondering how to let the player choose their character and input the name they wish to use in the game. Along with how to get the party system to work like pokemon. I was also wondering how to make a menu like the one in pokemon.

This project really got my eventing skills on the right track. They are still basic, no doubt, but they are improving on an alarming fast rate currently, unlike before I got the RMVX school.
