Encounter Rates by Mithran Introduction By default, all troops are encountered at a completely even ratio depending on the list given for the map. There is no way to make a certain troop be rare, and another really common without flooding the map or area encounter list with a single type of troop. This simple script changes that problem. Features - Changes the chance for you to encounter a certain troop Screenshots N/a How to Use Follow the instructions in the script. Demo None needed Script » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Credit and Thanks - Mithran Author's Notes A simple script, use or modify as you see fit. Let me know if you have any questions. -------------------- My scripts:

I think there is a easier way to change the rarity of the enemies ... If you want an enemy more common than another, just add the enemy more times in the same area. Example: If you add 5 Slime and 1 Bat, then there will be a 1/5 of chance that appear a Bat in that area. -------------------- <<====================================================================>> /----------------------------------------\ ![]() \----------------------------------------/ Which Final Fantasy Character Are You? <<----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->> /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ![]() \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' This is exactly what this short little script is intended to do. It simply adds the denoted amount of each troop to every encounter list they appear in. I found it much less time consuming to set a couple database note tags than repeatedly add several of each enemy to stack the odds against finding a certain one. FYI, this script will 'stack' with adding several of the troop to the encounter list, IE, each iteration of the troop in the map encounter list will add the number set in the database tag to the actual encounter list. Feel free to use either, or both, however you want, just thought someone might find it useful (it was *really* annoying making a 'rare' monster in the traditional way).

You're right about that
To do it the easiest way would create a big problem with the data. (I think that only serves to confuse more the poor noobies... -------------------- <<====================================================================>> /----------------------------------------\ ![]() \----------------------------------------/ Which Final Fantasy Character Are You? <<----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->> /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ![]() \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Another great script, Mithran, thank you! Tried and works perfectly! This'll work well with the Blue Mage script to make the monsters that use the best techniques be harder to find.
