Do you were to get the side view script becouse every site i have tryed it has got a error in the script! Or you just did it wrong, most battle system scripts aren't just plug and play, most require at least some importing of pictures and more than one script. Btw, nice game edjie, but I see one tiny grammar error on the first screen shot, wow.. thx you for such a good review!! I dowloaded the game yesterday eager to try it.
While there seems to be good amount of work on this project, I stopped playing pretty quickly. The major thing that prevented me from liking the game is the bad "english translation". I say translation because I am aware it's not the author first language. The "too big" areas and lack of polishing in map designs is a second major flaw, but with a good story I would have played more. That being said, I would definitly retry this game if the text was rewritten in an understandable fashion. Since I'm not a fluent user of English either, I can relate. |

okay... i tested it, but i have to agree with the earlier post. It is not really playable right now. There is too much preventing the game from being there.
1) grammer is unbearable. Even if English is not your primary language, you need to find a way to get a better translation. I could live with the spelling mistakes at this stage, but not the rest. I have to re-read some dialogues a couple of times before hitting enter to get past them in order to understand what is being said. 2) transitions. Main example being the doors in the Major House. When you are exiting a room with the door facing down, you hear the step transition noise annd the door opens and closes, but it is not fluid. is is too confusing. I highly doubt that you meant to have Gray making a transition sound effect when he entered the room for the first time. And while I am on the topic of the house, I really really dislike the "Location: Major House" in EVERY ROOM of the house I enter. Its too redundant and detracts from gameplay. 3) you need to either work more thinking 3-Dimensionally on your houses in the village and/or get a different stone walkway. Your structures look either flat, or like they are embedded beneath the level of the stone. I really cant comment on more beyond this, as this is as far as I could tolerate the game. Both for the reasons i set forth above, and the fact that the story did not seem that compelling to make me WANT to continue. It shows potential, but you have a LONG way to go. Keep at it. you will get it. |

Whoa thx for the long review, you really look closely at my mistake I planned to make a upgraded of this game, such fixing a bug or event mistake, additional skill, quest, and so on. but it was cancelled due to my computer boot failure, I lose the database / unencrypted file (entirely). So, just wait for my next game. -------------------- Check out my game :

Although slightly deterred by the somewhat bad reviews, I'm going to try this game out. But, I would suggest you try and compress your game file down a bit, maybe into a .rar file or something similar, so its easier to download. It's going to take forever on my computer.
Screenshots look good though, so I'm hopeful. EDIT: Ok, I finished downloading the game and played it for a few minutes, but it needs a lot of work. The grammar is pretty bad, and at times the meaning is unclear. The maps are very large and very bare, and all the houses in the village were closed. I wanted to go in them. Gray is waaaaaay too overpowered; he OHKOs all the enemies, which seemed to only be "Pelt", which I have no idea what it is supposed to be. The concept is very good, and your game could go pretty far, but you still have a lot of work that you need to put into it. Your English language skills are probably not the best, so I'd suggest getting somebody to look over your script and fix the grammar. This game could be very good though, so don't give up. This game could be very good though, so don't give up. first, thx for all of your comment, your feedback or suggestion will be kept in my mind.. yeah, the files is pretty big (the biggest one is the animation picture), with RTP it can be 120MB files. but those 120MB, I think it's really worthy for 6-10 hours gameplay. So, you'll not regret that. Gray is overpowered? the purpose I made Gray is overpowered is to let you getting used to play the method of my game, the first dungeon are made for purpose of tutorial and basic explanation of my battle. (we can say that like a kind of "Warm-up") for the language, to be honest.. that's everybody were complained. for my next game, I will be teamed up with some my friends, I also do this for my friends. to let them get out from their boredom of playing commercial games. unfortunately the unencrypted file of my game was missing because of my PC boot failure.
for some battle backgrounds, I grabbed it from previous RPG battleback and try surfing at google. for making my custom attack, it depends on your creativity, for me, I've only mixed and modified some existing script. maybe some unique animation is also neccessary. and there's some custom addon made by someone else, you should take a look at completed script section. i've send the walktrough. check your pm. This game made me laugh until I peed. You must be joking.. but indeed, this game had several comedy figures, at least around 2-3 characters. This post has been edited by edjie: Apr 11 2009, 02:26 AM -------------------- Check out my game :

You must be joking.. but indeed, this game had several comedy figures, at least around 2-3 characters. Hm... I think it was unintentionally funny because of the (bad) translation. "Aradian XII: I will not continue and extend the relationship between two country!! The friendship phase will over!!" had me rolling. I think I lost 4% of my ability to walk upright. |
