Hey everyone, i just hav a few quick questions i cant fidn the answers to.
How can you colour text in in-game message boxes? How do you show the player-created character name in a message box? Can you make text bold italic or underlined? Thanks jim42 This post has been edited by jim42: Jan 9 2009, 09:02 AM -------------------- p.s why not have a look at the demo for my game while your at it?

\N[x] for actor names.
Replace x with the actor ID. \C[x] for colored text. 0 for default color (white) I think there are up to 31. For bold, italic and underlined text, you'd need a script. -------------------- Online Fanarts Protection - I realised it stopped updating, but I deem it a good cause to promote

colored text: \c[#]
# can be any number between 0 to 31. If you ever looked at the Windowskin and wondered what all those little color square were in the bottom right corner, those are the colors you can change your text to. 0 is the default color (the first white square), 1 is blue, 2 is orange etc. I'm not sure what you mean by your second question. but I'm guessing what you're looking for is \n[#] where the # represents the actor's ID number. This will automatically put down the Actor's name down, whatever it may be. All these questions and more are all answered in the help file [F1] You can also right click on the "text:" in the message display and click on "What's this?" and it will give you a run down of all the text codes. :) As for the last question, you will need a script for that. Woratana's NMS does exactly that. :3 -------------------- ![]() (Added "new" content as of Jan. 1st 2012) 2008-10 ReStaff Archive Two Years of hard work providing resources for the community from our ReStaff team. <3 All compiled together in one place. 2011 Restaff Compilation Another year of hard work from the Restaff team! |
