RMVX in English has been announced. February 2008.

Two trailers at the RMVX Official website. English and Japanese.

Also the English RMVX website has updated it's Features list, although they are mostly babelfished.

Oh that sucks. Well, it's great we're getting an English version and that we have a confirmed release date but I was really hoping it would be released along with the Japanese version on Dec. 27. That way I could get it as a late Christmas present.

At least it comes out near my birthday. I'm going to go watch the trailers now.

Also my theory that battlebackgrounds were animated turns out to be false, but oh well.

Oh god, the more I watch this trailer the more it feels like there's gonna be some sort of massive explosion. It's like watching a Gilette ad...

But on a more serious note - it's out in English in February, do you reckon there will still be a hacked translation of this for the two month period or is everyone gonna hang on? I'm guessing the major VX communities will try and prevent it as much as possible if there is....

I don't know if a translated English version will be out before its official release but I can almost guarantee that a Spanish and German one will.

There's something to note also: Who will be the major VX communitys come Feb 07?: This place (RMVX.net), but where else....a new community, or some of the bigger website who have been around for quite some time...

.org's current users will undoubtedly go to their .org's VX counterpart.

They already do, they own a couple domains and http://rmvx.org is theres.

It doesn't give the fact that our forum won't grow into a semi-large community. Now if I remember, RMXP.net was inactive at first but it gradually expanded.

Yea...but, here we are: nearly 100 users, and 1000 posts, and they haven't even given the offical date for the English Realease RMVX.net will be a major community I'm just wondering will this be the only one, like RMXP.org is with RPG maker XP, or will another community grow, as just said....

you guys are worrying too much about this forum. it will survive as long as we want it to. and besides, i like this forum, way more laid back. so far, this is a nice place to be and talk about a new and exciting system. i want to use the english version soon.

i know. ive travelled through many forums before this is by far the most laid back

I'd say! Just be gratful we aren't like a fellow community I was aprt of...the leaders instaed of clsoing flame wars, joined in and made it worse...20 pages, before it was locked and moved onto Trash....

the forum that i was in a while ago (i think its closed now) was so, giantly popular, it was completely unadministratored because i think they all just gave up but when the head company saw the GIANT amount of space that it was using on its server they got new admins to run the forum but it was too late, we exceeded our maximum post count and the forum right now is in full restore

It wasn't funny...it was CHAOS...and even when I see them today, its still in a mess...even with new moderators and admins in place!
